Casey DeSmith struggles between pipes in Friday's loss to Islanders

by Chris Schommer | Canucks Correspondent | Sat, Feb 18th 9:04am EST

Casey DeSmith struggled between the pipes for the Penguins Friday night, allowing five goals on just 28 shots faced in a 5-4 loss to the Islanders.

Fantasy Impact:

DeSmith has left plenty to be desired in net of late for the Penguins, allowing three or more goals in seven of his last 10 starts (5-3-2, .889 save percentage) for the club. The 31-year-old netminder will need to be more consistent in net with No. 1 goaltender Tristan Jarry on long-term injured reserve, posting a 3.28 GAA and .904 save percentage in 27 starts (10-12-4) in the crease so far this season.
