Mark Teixeira hit his first home run of the season on Thursday night in the Yankees loss to the Blue Jays. Teixeira finished the night 1-for-4 with the home run and a strikeout.
Fantasy Impact:
The Yankees and Mark Teixeira's fantasy owners would like to see more of this from him as the season rolls along. Teixeira should still put up decent power numbers, but his average has dipped dramatically over the past few years, especially will the shift deployed against him. He is a low-end first base option or a possible utility play depending on the matchup.
