Stephen Strasburg placed on 10-day injured list Sunday

The Washington Nationals have placed Stephen Strasburg (right shoulder inflammation) and on the 10-day injured list. The Strasburg move is retroactive to April 15, according to Jesse Dougherty of The Washington Post. (Jesse Dougherty on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Strasburg did not pitch well in his last outing, had noticeably diminished velocity, and was seen on camera grabbing at his shoulder. Strasburg and manager Dave Martinez both said that he was fine after his worrisome outing against the Cardinals, but now he lands on the IL. The note that the move is retroactive to April 15 is potentially a good sign and could indicate that the Nationals expect Strasburg back as early as next weekend.
