Matt Garza was the losing pitcher on Friday night at Miller Park against St. Louis despite turning in a quality start. He threw six innings of three run ball. He allowed seven hits and two walks while striking out six batters.
Fantasy Impact:
It was Garza's third loss of the season, but the quality start helped fantasy owners in leagues where that category counts. Garza was burned by two home runs and the Brewers offense couldn't provide any run support for the righty. Despite the loss, it was a decent outing for Garza, who will look to generate a high K/9 in his next start against the Reds in Cincinnati on Wednesday.
