Dellin Betances is set to undergo season-ending shoulder surgery, according to Mets manager Luis Rojas. (Justin Toscano on Twitter )

Betances recently began a rehab assignment where he tossed a scoreless inning with Triple-A Syracuse. It isn't exactly clear what happened to him after that appearance that resulted in needing this surgery, but it is clear he suffered some sort of major setback.
