With the loss, Niese falls to 3-4 this season with a 3.72 ERA. Niese has struggled this season to put together consistent outings, he has been very hot and cold from start to start. In each of Niese's losses this season he has struggled to strikeout people, while his walk numbers have been very impressive. It's not time to panic on Niese yet; he should be able to bounce back from this start. The next start that he makes will be very telling on how his season will pan out.
