Manny Machado goes deep again

by James McGowan | Padres Correspondent | Wed, Jul 8th 5:01pm EDT

On Wednesday, the Baltimore Orioles lost to the Minnesota Twins 5-3. The Orioles got swept in the series and struggled at times to provide offense in key points. One player that didn't struggle was Manny Machado who went 1-4 with a home run, and an RBI.

Fantasy Impact:

Machado has been one of the best players for the Orioles this season and has helped them get back into the hunt for first place. After early struggles at the plate, Machado has found his swing over Trent weeks and has jump started the then struggling Orioles. This season he is hitting .301, with 19 home runs, 48 RBI, 13 stolen bases, and an OPS of .895. Machado has been a top player this season and deserved the honor of being named an all star this season for the AL. Machado will bring a big bat to any team that will need a jump as we get into the second half of the season. Machado and the Orioles will look to get back into the win column on Thursday against the Nationals.
