Edward Mujica named new A's closer

by Matthew Adam | Wed, Jul 29th 9:22am EDT

In the wake of the Tyler Clippard trade to the New York Mets, Edward Mujica has been named the team's new closer going forward. Manager Bob Melvin cited Mujica's prior experience closing games as his rationale for the decision. (MLB.com)

Fantasy Impact:

Former closer Sean Doolittle's return to action this season is up in the air, so Mujica may have the job for the rest of the year. He has a 3.68 ERA this season and did save 37 games for the Cardinals in 2013. He's worth an add if your team is in need of saves.
