Adam Eaton (CF)

Chicago White Sox - 39% owned

(?)
Bats: L, Throws: L

Due to a sore shoulder and Adam La Roche struggles, Adam Eaton was thrust into the DH role on Monday vs the Red Sox. He didn't disappoint, going 3-for-6 with a run scored and plating two RBI.

Fantasy Impact: After a slow start to the season, Eaton has finally started to come around. Keep a eye on Eaton coming down the stretch. If available, he could provide some depth to your roster.

Adam Eaton was 1-for-4 on Thursday, including scoring the first of the White Sox' two runs in the sixth inning. Eaton crossed the plate after Russell Martin mishandled an R.A. Dickey knuckleball that went to the backstop.

Fantasy Impact: Eaton has seen a slight uptick in production in the beginning of July, as other White Sox hitters are starting to get going. He's worth watching to see if he and the White Sox can turn things around in the second half.

Adam Eaton delivered a walk-off solo home run in the bottom of the 11th inning off of Blue Jays closer Roberto Osuna. Eaton was 2-for-4 in the game with a pair of RBI.

Fantasy Impact: Eaton isn't know for his power, but that is his third homer in the last couple weeks. He hasn't lived up to the expectation of fantasy owners so far this season, but he is worth keeping an eye on in deeper leagues or leagues that use more than three outfielders.

Adam Eaton tripled and scored a run, in a 5-4 loss to the Tigers.

Fantasy Impact: Adam Eaton's triple was his sixth of the season. It was his lone hit of the game. Eaton continues to struggle with being consistent at the plate.

Adam Eaton started the game off in fashion, blasting his fourth home run of the season. Eaton finished the day going 2-for-4, scoring two runs to go along with a walk, in the White Sox 8-7 victory over the Tigers.

Fantasy Impact: Adam Eaton has finally started to show flashes of his 2014 campaign, where he hit .300 with a .362 OBP. Monitor Eaton, to see if he can revert back to last years form.

Adam Eaton went 3-for-5 with a RBI in the White Sox 6-2 victory over the Twins.

Fantasy Impact: Adam Eaton is another underachieving starter in the sputtering White Sox offense. His average now sits at a disappointing .245. At this point, Eaton is a high ceiling daily streaming option with a chance to be of some value in season long formats

Adam Eaton went 0-for-3 with a walk Monday, in a game where the White Sox never really got started offensively.

Fantasy Impact: Adam Eaton had been playing fairly well lately as he had gone 6-for-15 in his last four games. He is still recovering from a brutal start to the season. He should not be owned except in deeper leagues where his production in runs scored and the hope of a decent average with some steals are more useful.

Adam Eaton went 2-for-4 with a triple and a RBI in a 6-4 loss to the Tigers.

Fantasy Impact: Adam Eaton has started to rebound from his slow start to the 2015 season. Keep Eaton on the watch list. He could turn into a nice mid season pick up.

Adam Eaton only had one hit on the evening. He saved it for the bottom of the 11th. To open the inning, with the scored tied Eaton reached on an infield single. Three batters later, he was forced in to score the winning run when Avisail Garcia was hit by a pitch.

Fantasy Impact: Adam Eaton has slowly improved after his dreadful start to the season. However, he is still hitting a pedestrian like .238. Eaton should not be owned at this point. Consider him a steaming option based on a certain match up.

Leadoff man Adam Eaton went 1-for-3 against Nick Martinez and the Rangers on Wednesday. He crossed the plate twice, and brought in a pair as well. Eaton also walked twice as well in the 9-2 victory.

Fantasy Impact: Eaton had a very poor April, and improved in May. June should be the defining month of his season. He currently leads the White Sox in runs, and is second in walks. Alarmingly, he only has two stolen bases on the season.

Adam Eaton helped the White Sox beat the Astros on Sunday. He was able to record one hit in five at-bats. His hit lead to one of the six runs scored by the White Sox that day.

Fantasy Impact: Adam Eaton has seen some improvement lately, but he is not a good enough hitter to warrant much fantasy value. Eaton does a decent job in the lead off position. He is not an easy out and can sometimes get on base. However, he is not consistent enough to make his way into most everyday fantasy lineups. His only true value is if the White Sox look to be a stacking option in daily leagues; which does not happen often.

Adam Eaton and the White Sox finally recorded a win as they avoid the sweep in Toronto. Eaton went 2-for-5 with a run scored and a strikeout.

Fantasy Impact: If Adam Eaton can consistently hit like he has the last two games, he would finally have some fantasy value. The problem is that Eaton has not proven he can perform at this level all the time. He is a below average hitter and better options are most likely available.

The White Sox have now lost seven of their last eight games. The losses are not for a lack of trying. The White Sox scored nine runs on Tuesday, but it was not enough. They will try to avoid the sweep on Wednesday. In the loss, Adam Eaton helped the White Sox by going 1-for-4 with a walk, a RBI, and two runs scored.

Fantasy Impact: From a fantasy perspective, Adam Eaton had a productive day. This stat line is the best you will ever see from Eaton. With a .231 batting average, Eaton has little value in standard leagues. He only has some value in daily leagues when stacking the top of the White Sox order.

On an individual standpoint, Adam Eaton had a successful day at the plate Thursday night. Although he did not manufacture any runs, he went 1-for-3 and drew a walk. He also did not leave anyone on base.

Fantasy Impact: Adam Eaton is nothing special in fantasy leagues. Too many better outfield options exist right now. Eaton can have a little value if he goes on a hot streak, but that is not likely. Eaton has little value in daily leagues because hitting leadoff limits his RBI ability. Eaton only has three RBI on the season.

Adam Eaton snags a hit as the White Sox lose to the Indians Tuesday night. The White Sox could only muster four hits, and Eaton got one of them. Eaton went 1-for-4 with a single and a strikeout.

Fantasy Impact: Adam Eaton has been productive over the last several games. He continues to gets hits, but is nothing more than average compared to other outfielders. He has a good chance to score runs if Jose Abreu, Adam LaRoche, and Avisail Garcia continue to succeed at the plate. Eaton is nothing more than a possible stacking option in daily fantasy leagues when the pitching matchup makes sense.

Adam Eaton and the White Sox seem to have hit a groove. Eaton hit a double and went 1-for-5 with a run scored on Sunday. That is Eaton's eighth double of the season.

Fantasy Impact: Adam Eaton, like many of the other White Sox, had a productive weekend. Eaton has had five hits and scored five runs in the last three days. Over the last 10 days Eaton has hit .302. If the White Sox continue this surge, Eaton can make for a nice daily fantasy stack when the pitching match-up is good.

Adam Eaton had a solid outing against the Brewers on Wednesday. The center fielder went 1-for-3 with two walks and a run scored.

Fantasy Impact: Adam Eaton and the White Sox had a great first inning on Wednesday. Eaton reached base and scored on a sacrifice fly by Melky Cabrera. Eaton is not an elite outfielder when it comes to hitting, but he can get on base. He has more impact for the White Sox than he does in fantasy. Eaton can be used when the match-up is right.

Adam Eaton had a field day with the Brewers on Monday night. He went 4-for-5 with two RBI and one run. One of his four hits was a double, but the White Sox fell short when they let up three runs in the bottom of the eighth inning.

Fantasy Impact: Adam Eaton is not a household fantasy name. It was nice to see him put a complete batting performance together, and this might have been his best day at the plate this season. Eaton raised his batting average from .196 to .225 on Monday night. Do not expect many repeat performances that are equal to this magnitude. However, Tuesday night is a favorable match-up as Eaton faces Mike Fiers. Fiers has struggled this season and is possibly the Brewers worse starting pitcher.

Adam Eaton went 1-for-4 with a double and a run scored. Eaton hit a double to lead off the first inning, and he scored when Jose Abreu singled to center.

Fantasy Impact: Adam Eaton has little fantasy value right now. At this point in the season, Eaton is hitting .195 with a .241 OBP; way below his career averages. Eaton cannot be trusted in any fantasy format at this point in the season. Too many better options are available to choose from in daily leagues. If you have Eaton, hopefully someone like Odubel Herrera or Nick Young is available; both are out playing Eaton.

Adam Eaton did not do much against the Twins on Thursday. He was able to muster one hit in five at-bats. He did not produce any runs or RBI, and he struck out twice.

Fantasy Impact: Eaton has been up and down at the plate all season. His slugging percentage is down, and he has not been consistent enough to have any fantasy value. Eaton is currently batting .192 and has an OPS of .497. In 2014, Eaton finished with an OPS of .763; look for his numbers to improve, but he will probably fall short from last year's production.

Adam Eaton went 0-for-4 on Saturday afternoon, dropping his average to .100 on the young season. On a positive note, the White Sox did rally for their first victory of the 2015 campaign.

Fantasy Impact: Adam Eaton has come out the gate slow in 2015, going only 2-for-20. Look for a anxious owner willing to deal Eaton. His OBP, average and stolen base tool makes him and attractive low buy option.

Adam Eaton went 0-for-4 on Thursday afternoon vs the Royals, as the White Sox were swept in Kansas City. Eaton is off to a slow start with just one hit ,in his first 12 at bats.

Fantasy Impact: Adam Eaton struggled with the bat, in the first series of the year. Don't hit the panic button with Eaton just yet. Last years, .300 average and .362 OBP, showed what he is capable of. A series vs the Minnesota Twins are on deck for the White Sox

Adam Eaton signs extension

Sat, Mar 21st 7:00pm EDT
By Scott Brownley

Adam Eaton and the White Sox agreed to a 5 year/ $23.5 million contract extension on Friday. The deal will keep Eaton on the White Sox through 2019. The White Sox will also have club options in 2020 and 2021 (Source: ESPN)

Fantasy Impact: The commitment made by the White Sox speaks to the organization's level of confidence in their CF. In addition to the contract, the White Sox also brought in Vince Coleman as a baserunning instructor to help Eaton get better reads on pitchers. 2015 could be a breakout year for the 26 year old.

Adam Eaton hit .330 with an .840 OPS in his final 80 games last season. Also during that stretch, Eaton had 23 extra-base hits. This is hopefully a sign that he is starting to recover from his 2013 elbow injury. (Source: CBS Sports)

Fantasy Impact: Adam Eaton is not a first-round fantasy talent. However, if he continues his production from the end of last season and is consistent throughout the year, he could elevate himself as a top 25 fantasy outfielder.
