Adam Eaton (CF)

Chicago White Sox - 26% owned

Bats: L, Throws: L

On an individual standpoint, Adam Eaton had a successful day at the plate Thursday night. Although he did not manufacture any runs, he went 1-for-3 and drew a walk. He also did not leave anyone on base.

Fantasy Impact: Adam Eaton is nothing special in fantasy leagues. Too many better outfield options exist right now. Eaton can have a little value if he goes on a hot streak, but that is not likely. Eaton has little value in daily leagues because hitting leadoff limits his RBI ability. Eaton only has three RBI on the season.

Adam Eaton snags a hit as the White Sox lose to the Indians Tuesday night. The White Sox could only muster four hits, and Eaton got one of them. Eaton went 1-for-4 with a single and a strikeout.

Fantasy Impact: Adam Eaton has been productive over the last several games. He continues to gets hits, but is nothing more than average compared to other outfielders. He has a good chance to score runs if Jose Abreu, Adam LaRoche, and Avisail Garcia continue to succeed at the plate. Eaton is nothing more than a possible stacking option in daily fantasy leagues when the pitching matchup makes sense.

Adam Eaton and the White Sox seem to have hit a groove. Eaton hit a double and went 1-for-5 with a run scored on Sunday. That is Eaton's eighth double of the season.

Fantasy Impact: Adam Eaton, like many of the other White Sox, had a productive weekend. Eaton has had five hits and scored five runs in the last three days. Over the last 10 days Eaton has hit .302. If the White Sox continue this surge, Eaton can make for a nice daily fantasy stack when the pitching match-up is good.

Adam Eaton had a solid outing against the Brewers on Wednesday. The center fielder went 1-for-3 with two walks and a run scored.

Fantasy Impact: Adam Eaton and the White Sox had a great first inning on Wednesday. Eaton reached base and scored on a sacrifice fly by Melky Cabrera. Eaton is not an elite outfielder when it comes to hitting, but he can get on base. He has more impact for the White Sox than he does in fantasy. Eaton can be used when the match-up is right.

Adam Eaton had a field day with the Brewers on Monday night. He went 4-for-5 with two RBI and one run. One of his four hits was a double, but the White Sox fell short when they let up three runs in the bottom of the eighth inning.

Fantasy Impact: Adam Eaton is not a household fantasy name. It was nice to see him put a complete batting performance together, and this might have been his best day at the plate this season. Eaton raised his batting average from .196 to .225 on Monday night. Do not expect many repeat performances that are equal to this magnitude. However, Tuesday night is a favorable match-up as Eaton faces Mike Fiers. Fiers has struggled this season and is possibly the Brewers worse starting pitcher.

Adam Eaton went 1-for-4 with a double and a run scored. Eaton hit a double to lead off the first inning, and he scored when Jose Abreu singled to center.

Fantasy Impact: Adam Eaton has little fantasy value right now. At this point in the season, Eaton is hitting .195 with a .241 OBP; way below his career averages. Eaton cannot be trusted in any fantasy format at this point in the season. Too many better options are available to choose from in daily leagues. If you have Eaton, hopefully someone like Odubel Herrera or Nick Young is available; both are out playing Eaton.

Adam Eaton did not do much against the Twins on Thursday. He was able to muster one hit in five at-bats. He did not produce any runs or RBI, and he struck out twice.

Fantasy Impact: Eaton has been up and down at the plate all season. His slugging percentage is down, and he has not been consistent enough to have any fantasy value. Eaton is currently batting .192 and has an OPS of .497. In 2014, Eaton finished with an OPS of .763; look for his numbers to improve, but he will probably fall short from last year's production.

Adam Eaton went 0-for-4 on Saturday afternoon, dropping his average to .100 on the young season. On a positive note, the White Sox did rally for their first victory of the 2015 campaign.

Fantasy Impact: Adam Eaton has come out the gate slow in 2015, going only 2-for-20. Look for a anxious owner willing to deal Eaton. His OBP, average and stolen base tool makes him and attractive low buy option.

Adam Eaton went 0-for-4 on Thursday afternoon vs the Royals, as the White Sox were swept in Kansas City. Eaton is off to a slow start with just one hit ,in his first 12 at bats.

Fantasy Impact: Adam Eaton struggled with the bat, in the first series of the year. Don't hit the panic button with Eaton just yet. Last years, .300 average and .362 OBP, showed what he is capable of. A series vs the Minnesota Twins are on deck for the White Sox

Adam Eaton signs extension

Sat, Mar 21st 7:00pm EDT
By Scott Brownley

Adam Eaton and the White Sox agreed to a 5 year/ $23.5 million contract extension on Friday. The deal will keep Eaton on the White Sox through 2019. The White Sox will also have club options in 2020 and 2021 (Source: ESPN)

Fantasy Impact: The commitment made by the White Sox speaks to the organization's level of confidence in their CF. In addition to the contract, the White Sox also brought in Vince Coleman as a baserunning instructor to help Eaton get better reads on pitchers. 2015 could be a breakout year for the 26 year old.

Adam Eaton hit .330 with an .840 OPS in his final 80 games last season. Also during that stretch, Eaton had 23 extra-base hits. This is hopefully a sign that he is starting to recover from his 2013 elbow injury. (Source: CBS Sports)

Fantasy Impact: Adam Eaton is not a first-round fantasy talent. However, if he continues his production from the end of last season and is consistent throughout the year, he could elevate himself as a top 25 fantasy outfielder.
