Ort was the roster casualty to make space for Declan Cronin who the club claimed off waivers on Wednesday. The 32-year-old Ort posted a 6.26 ERA with the Red Sox in the 2023 season but also tossed a 1.54 ERA in 13 Triple-A outings in Worcester. He owns a career 6.27 ERA across 47 big-league outings.

Kaleb Ort allowed one run while pitching the seventh inning of Sunday's game against the Brewers. Despite surrendering zero hits, he walked three batters. When all was said and done, though, Ort earned the win after the Red Sox offense plated nine runs in the top of the eighth. Boston ultimately defeated Milwaukee by a score of 12-5.

Ort is now 1-0 with a 4.50 ERA, 1.50 WHIP, and .261 OBA through 11 games (12 innings) this season. He has pitched solid as of late, allowing just one earned run and two hits over his last five appearances. With that said, Ort is not on the fantasy radar.
