Kyle Rudolph agrees to five-year extension with Vikings

by Kevin C. Wilson | Sun, Jul 27th 11:14pm EDT

ESPN reports that tight end Kyle Rudolph has agreed to a five-year, 36.5 million dollar extension with the Minnesota Vikings. (ESPN)

Fantasy Impact:

Now that Rudolph's contract situation has been taken care of he can turn his full attention to learning new Offensive Coordinator Norv Turner's offense. And considering Turner's history with tight ends Rudolph could be in for a breakout season. Beginning in the early 1990's with Jay Novacek and continuing with Antonio Gates and Jordan Cameron, Turner's offenses have consistently featured a prolific pass-catching tight end. If history continues Rudolph could be a solid TE1 and a bargain at his current ADP of 95.
