Good news for Miami Dolphins offense

by Jeffrey Lee Colavecchio | Sun, Aug 31st 3:14pm EDT

According to multiple media reports, including that of the Miami Herald’s Armando Salguero, Dolphins Pro Bowl center Mike Pouncey will begin the season on the team’s 53 player roster. Some had speculated that Pouncey’s injury, which caused the team to place him on the PUP list at the beginning of training camp, would lead the team to leave the fourth-year center on the reserve/PUP list to begin the year, which would result in Pouncey missing the first six games of the 2014 season. Fantasy Impact:

That is wonderful news for all parties involved. The player who benefits the most from a quick Pouncey recovery is Ryan Tannehill. When Pouncey is pulling blocking, and cutting defenders to create lanes for the RB’s the pass game will benefit. Samson Satele will be serviceable in the mean time, it is really unfair to even compare him to the athlete that Mike Pouncey is. All skill positions for the Phins will get a boost in FF value upon his return, which Mike Pouncey claims is week 4 against the Oakland Raiders in London.
