Ryan Tannehill ranks 7th among rushing QBs

Tannehill completed 20-of-31 for 244 yards and two touchdowns Sunday against the Packers. He also rushed for 49 yards, 40 of those yards coming on one run, a kept ball off a read option, which was the longest offensive play of the year for the Dolphins. Tannehill has now rushed for 102 yards, tying with Geno Smith for 7th among quarterbacks. (Dolphins.com)
Fantasy Impact:
Tannehill threw to seven different receivers on Sunday. If he can continue to not show a bias to any one receiver, then defenses can't either. In addition, the read option not only helps the Miami backs, but also makes Tannehill a legitimate rushing threat. It's likely in most leagues that Tannehill is not a starter (with the exception of dual QB leagues). He is either on the wire, or rostered for a bye week start. That's about right at the moment for the QB2, but he's worth watching for any hints of breaking out.
