Improved depth at defensive end has allowed the Cowboys to move Tyrone Crawford back inside from defensive end to tackle. (SportsDay)

Specifically, the play of Randy Gregory has made the move possible. Gregory has exceeded the team’s expectations since returning from a one-year suspension. Crawford played a lot of defensive tackle early in his career, but has played more on the end the last couple seasons. “It gives us the best chance to get our best players on the field," defensive coordinator Rod Marinelli said of the move. Whether he’s playing tackle or end, Crawford figures to be a key player once again.
