Maxx Williams runs routes at Minnesota Pro Day, stands on combine times

by Brian Tesch | Tue, Mar 3rd 9:29am EST

Despite relatively disappointing NFL Combine marks, Minnesota TE Maxx WIlliams only ran routes at his Pro Day. Williams stated that he didn't think his 4.77 second 40 yard dash time would be a big concern for teams, so he didn't run. (twincities.com)

Fantasy Impact:

You have to look all the way back to Heath Miller in 2005 to see a TE who tested as poorly as Williams did at the NFL combine go in round one of the draft, as many are predicting of the former Golden Gopher. Williams has shown himself to be a tremendous route-runner, and has been a huge part of his team's passing game from a young age, but the fact that he's relatively unathletic for the position is troubling. He should still be high on your dynasty draft boards, but could be in for a bit of a tumble come draft day in April.
