Vince Wilfork Announces he will become free agent

Vince Wilfork has announced the New England Patriots will not pick up his option, therefore Wilfork will hit free agency. (Doug Kyed on Twitter)

The Patriots will not be picking up the two year option on Wilfork which will result in him now entering the free agency pool. Wilfork has been a mainstay in the middle of a revamped Patriots defense. Wilfork has restructured and worked with the Patriots over the past few years with his contract but this may be the end of a solid run with the Patriots. Wilfork will look to fill the middle of a contenders defense!
