Arik Armstead to be released after failed negotiations

San Francisco 49ers DL Arik Armstead and the organization have decided to release him, allowing him to explore his value in free agency after the two sides failed to agree on a restructured deal. (Jordan Schultz on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Armstead had one season left on his deal, and after failing to bridge the impasse in discussions, he will become a free agent. After nine seasons in the Bay, the 30-year-old Armstead will find a new home after a career-best 86.5 PFF pass-rushing grade including 58 pressures and eight sacks.
