It will not be a surprise if the Patriots sit out Rob Gronkowski in Friday's preseason game against the Panthers. There is not much upside to exposing their star TE to any unnecessary injury risk. He could sit out next week's preseason game as well. But expect Gronkowski to be ready to go to start the season and he will play up to his top TE fantasy ranking.
