Michael Vick

Michael Vick looks decent in his first start with the Steelers

by Sean Dwyer | Fri, Oct 2nd 1:03am EDT

Michael Vick kept the Steelers in position to win during his debut as the Pittsburgh starting QB, but fell just short in an OT loss against the Baltimore Ravens. Vick finished the game completing 19-of-26 passes for 124 passing yards, one passing TD, 33 rushing yards, and no turnovers. (ESPN Box Score)

Fantasy Impact:

The Steelers appeared to focus on getting Michael Vick comfortable early with many screen passes and check-downs, which lead to only 6.5 yards per completion on the night. As expected, he scrambled when given the opportunity and also took a couple of shots down the field, including an impressive deep pass that was almost caught in the end zone by Antonio Brown. Vick's fantasy value may increase slightly with the return of Martavis Bryant next week, but he will continue to be a risky start at QB.
