Cole Turner
TE - Washington Commanders
2024 Outlook
Commanders TE Cole Turner is officially inactive for a Week 8 matchup with the Eagles.
Fantasy Impact
Turner is a healthy scratch as the Commanders will have Alex Armah active in his place. Neither are currently fantasy viable and can be left on the waiver wire.
Cole Turner caught 4-of-7 targets for 35 yards en route to a 37-3 loss to the Buffalo Bills on Sunday.
Fantasy Impact
Turner was actually quite involved on Sunday, leading the team in targets in a blowout loss to the Bills. He didn't do much with them, but it's still encouraging to see this kind of usage from him. His fantasy value won't be very high moving forward, but his presence as a safety blanket may prove to be valuable to QB Sam Howell moving forward.
In a nail-biting 35-33 victory over the Denver Broncos, Washington Commanders' tight end Cole Turner managed to reel in both of his targets for a total of 21 yards.
Fantasy Impact
While the 23-year-old didn't find the end zone, his contributions helped keep the chains moving in key moments. His most notable play came in the fourth quarter, where he hauled in a 12-yard pass that brought the Commanders within striking distance of the goal line. Despite his modest output, Turner's performance was enough to maintain his TE35 ranking in both weekly and season-long fantasy. Looking ahead, he hopes to increase his target share when the Commanders face off against the Buffalo Bills next week, especially if Logan Thomas (concussion) cannot go.
Cole Turner has been ruled out of Week 7's game against the Packers due to a concussion.
Fantasy Impact
Turner was filling in for the already ruled-out Logan Thomas, leaving the Commanders pretty thin at the TE position. He was held without a reception on 2 targets before leaving the game.
Cole Turner caught both of his targets for 23 yards during the Commanders' Week 6 win over the Bears.
Fantasy Impact
Turner filled in nicely for the injured Logan Thomas who missed his second consecutive game with a hamstring injury. Turner outplayed John Bates and could be the Commanders' long-term TE2, but when Thomas is active he is the tight end to own on the team. There is a good chance Thomas will return to the Commanders lineup after their 'mini-bye' in front of a Week 7 date against the Packers.
