Josh Huff waived by Saints

The New Orleans Saints released veteran wide receiver Josh Huff and safety Rickey Jefferson, who was waived with an injury designation. Huff was signed in January and was competing for the final wideout spot behind Michael Thomas, Tedd Ginn, Cameron Meredith, and Tre'Quan Smith.

Fantasy Impact

Huff is also facing a two-game ban to open the 2018 season for violating the NFL's substance abuse and personal conduct policy. He may be able to sign on as a practice squad member, but Huff has no fantasy value.

Josh Huff signed by Buccaneers

Josh Huff was signed to the Buccaneers practice squad on Monday. He was released by the Eagles last week.

Fantasy Impact

Huff has done most of his damage on special teams, and the signing makes sense given the Bucs bevy of injuries to the WR position.

Josh Huff has been released by the Eagles

Josh Huff has been released by the Eagles following his arrest.

Fantasy Impact

This is a big hit to the already struggling Eagles offense. Only time will tell what the impact will be on the offense as a whole.

Josh Huff reportedly arrested

It was reported that Eagles receiver and special-teamer Josh Huff was arrested on Tuesday, in Philadelphia on the Walt Whitman Bridge, for allegedly possessing marijuana and a firearm, while speeding.

Fantasy Impact

This is big for the Eagles' special teams. Darren Sproles was already reportedly taking over for Ryan Mathews, and Huff would have been in the discussion to pick up the slack, should Sproles' role in special teams need to be reduced. Now, if Huff is forced to miss time, this arrest could trickle back up into the offense, potentially causing shakeups until the situation is resolved. Huff isn't fantasy relevant by himself, but is a large reason why the Eagles' special teams has been one of the league's best this year.

Josh Huff plays his usual role with minimal involvement

Josh Huff only had one catch for nine yards on Sunday Night Football in the Eagles' 29-23 overtime loss against the Cowboys. He was involved in other ways with a long kickoff return and a failed end-around pass.

Fantasy Impact

Huff is an explosive player but doesn't have the hands of an NFL receiver. The Eagles will find ways to get him a few touches per game, but don't let his athleticism fool you into picking him up and starting him.
