Former Colts CB Pierre Desir signs a one-year deal with the New York Jets worth up to $5.5M.

Desir lands with the Jets after his surprising release from Indianapolis just a day ago. He’d been a three-year starter with the Colts after playing for the Browns and the Chargers prior to that. He’ll run with New York for the 2020 season on a one-year “prove it” type deal.

Colts CB Pierre Dessir is being released by the Indianapolis Colts. Dessir was owed almost $7M this year after being paid $9M in 2019.

Dessir spent three productive seasons in Indianapolis, recording 161 tackles and five interceptions in 37 games. The former 2014 fourth-round pick will now become a free agent, and should draw some interest from a handful of teams looking for help in the secondary.
