Ricardo Lockette will announce his retirement after suffering a serious neck injury last season.

Lockette showed some potential but was never able to get enough opportunities. He will be missed in the Seahawks locker room. Fantasy wise, this is not such a big deal.

Seattle's Ricardo Lockette was carted off the field in Dallas after taking a ferocious hit on a kick return. He lay motionless on the field for quite a while before being moved to a stretcher and then carted off the field.

The Seattle WR appears to have sustained a serious concussion and will not return to the game. Lockette is listed as 4th on the team depth chart.

Lockette was able to score on a long flea flicker play on Sunday. Lockette is not used much in the offense, but has the wheels to score whenever he touches the ball. He may score a TD here and there, but he's way down on the targets pecking order on a run first team.

If you're looking for a possible lightening in a bottle type player for DFS purposes, Lockette is an interesting option. Standing 6'2, weighing in at 211 pounds, and posting a 4.37 40 time, Lockette makes most of his catches down-field on fly routes. Primarily a special teams player, Lockette actually had his best statistical season of his career in 2014, posting a 11-195-2 line on 15 targets. With his special teams responsibilities being of great value to the team, don't look for Lockette to be on the field as a receiver often, but when he is, he's going to be targeted deep.

Really it was one catch for -9 yards, as Lockette was flagged for taunting on his catch, taking the Seahawks out of field goal range. Daily gamers may want to turn to Lockette next week, as his long-speed and is in line for a possible role increase with Paul Richardson injured.
