Recently released Arizona Cardinals edge rusher Terrell Suggs has been claimed by the Kansas City Chiefs.

Fantasy Impact

Kansas City was one of four teams to put in a claim for the veteran pass rusher. The other teams to put in a claim were New Orleans, San Francisco, and Seattle. The Chiefs currently have the worst record of the bunch and were awarded Suggs. Suggs recently stated that he would only play for the Baltimore Ravens, and there has been no word yet on if he has softened his stance. Suggs would be a welcomed addition to a Chiefs team lacking pass rush juice outside of Frank Clark and Chris Jones, and who may have just lost Alex Okafor to a torn pec. He will likely remain a situational pass rusher if he reports, and is worth a look only in the deepest IDP leagues.

Terrell Suggs completed Sunday’s 27-10 loss with eight total tackles, 1.5 sacks, and a forced fumble.

Suggs is sixth on the team in tackles (17) but is leading the team in sacks with 3.5 through four games played. He is only worth rostering in deeper leagues at this time.

Terrell Suggs ended Sunday’s 27-27 tie to the Lions with five total tackles and two sacks.

Another NFL ageless wonder, Suggs is still showing that he has value in most IDP leagues. Owners with deeper rosters should look to add Suggs if he continues to play as he did on Sunday.

The Cardinals have agreed to a one-year, $7 million deal with former Ravens pass-rusher Terrell Suggs.

Suggs has played all 16 of his seasons in Baltimore but will now return to his home state of Arizona for year 17. The 36-year-old has accumulated 132.5 sacks over his career, which is tied for 13th all-time and is most among all active players.

Baltimore linebacker Terrell Suggs picked up a sack in Week 9's 23-20 loss to the Tennessee Titans. The sack registered as his only tackle of the game.

Fantasy Impact

Suggs only has 25 tackles on the year, but he has registered 5.5 sacks, which gives him some value in IDP leagues. He will be on his bye in Week 10 before traveling to Green Bay to face the Packers in Week 11.
