Tuesday's Starting Pitcher Strategy
Tonight's DFS main slate is flush with excellent pitchers. Still, the first two listed pitchers on the table are the best options in cash games, and the final two are outstanding tournament choices.
Cash Game Recommendations:
Robbie Ray (SEA) vs. TEX
Ray has been in excellent form. According to FanGraphs, in his previous nine starts, he's had a 2.45 ERA, 3.28 SIERA, 1.07 WHIP, 6.9 BB%, 28.4 K% and 27.8 CSW% in 55 innings. In addition, he's shined at home, spinning a 2.73 ERA, 3.14 xFIP, 0.95 WHIP and 29.2 K%.
The Rangers are a challenging matchup. Still, Ray has been up for it this season. He's had two starts against his AL West foe, both quality starts. Ray has allowed five runs on 10 hits, one walk and 16 strikeouts in 12.2 innings against the Rangers this season. So, Ray is the top pitcher on tonight's slate in all game types.
Logan Webb (SF) vs. COL
Webb's salary is head-scratchingly low on DK. In his previous start, Webb held the Rockies scoreless on one hit, zero walks, and five strikeouts at Coos Field. Now, Webb will face them in his home ballpark.
In 94.0 innings at home this year, Webb has had a 2.97 ERA, 3.14 xFIP, 1.28 WHIP, 6.3 BB% and 20.7 K%. Meanwhile, the Rockies are dreadful on the road. They're dead last in wOBA (.276) and wRC+ (75) this season. Finally, according to Betting Pros, the Giants are -190, and the game's total is only 7.0 runs. Thus, Webb is an exciting selection tonight.
GPP Recommendations:
Carlos Carrasco (NYM) vs. MIA
Carrasco is a third-featured pitcher with outstanding home splits this season. In 84.0 innings at Citi Field, he's had a 3.21 ERA, 3.34 xFIP, 1.33 WHIP and 24.6 K%.
The matchup and betting info is sensational, too. The Marlins are tied for 22nd in wRC+ (93) against right-handed pitchers this year. Further, the Mets are -210, and the game's total is a pitcher-friendly 7.0 runs.
Patrick Sandoval (LAA) vs. OAK
Sandoval has been white-hot lately. In his last eight starts spanning 47.2 innings, he's had a 1.89 ERA, 3.46 xFIP, 1.09 WHIP, 23.4 K% and 29.8 CSW%. Additionally, Sandoval has a delightful matchup.
First, the A's are 26th in wRC+ (86) against lefties this year. Second, Sandoval has tied them up in two starts this season. Sandoval held the A's to one run in 6.1 innings on May 15 and one in 7.1 on May 22. Finally, he also has ideal betting info. Namely, the Angels are -210, and the game's total is 7.5 runs.

Paolo Espino has been one of Washington's unsuccessful bullpen-to-rotation stories this year. He's had a 4.94 ERA and 1.95 HR/9 in 78.1 innings as a starter. The Braves should knock him around as a top-10 offense against righties. The Braves are tied for eighth in wRC+ (107) against righties this season.

The Orioles exploded last night and have another opportunity to take advantage of the mouthwatering run-scoring environment at Fenway Park tonight. Sadly, Michael Wacha is a tricky matchup for the O's tonight. Still, he's allowed at least three runs in three of his last six starts. Additionally, Boston's bullpen is dreadful. So, there's an opportunity for Baltimore's lineup to score runs against Boston's relievers.

Houston's a top-shelf offense and faces a mediocre at best pitcher tonight. The Astros are tied for eighth in wRC+ (107) against right-handed pitchers this season. Additionally, Zach Davies's 4.03 ERA this season has overstated his work, evidenced by his 4.39 xERA and 4.49 xFIP. Finally, Arizona's bullpen is also hot garbage, sporting a 4.55 ERA this year. So, Houston's offense has a high-ceiling that's tailor-made for GPPs.
- Austin Riley has raked this year. In 663 plate appearances, he's hit 37 homers with a .351 OBP, .259 ISO and 144 wRC+.
- Michael Harris has been excellent in his rookie campaign. He's had a .345 OBP, .227 ISO, 142 wRC+, 19 homers and 20 stolen bases.
- Adley Rutschman has killed righties in his rookie season. The switch-hitting catcher has swatted 11 homers with a .384 OBP, .223 ISO and 154 wRC+ in 323 plate appearances against them.
- Corbin Carroll has teed off for three homers, a .365 OBP, .232 ISO and 146 wRC+ in his first 63 plate appearances against righties in The Show.
- Oswaldo Cabrera has turned it on in the last couple of weeks. In 53 plate appearances from September 10 through September 25, Cabrera had four homers, two stolen bases, a .415 OBP, .356 ISO and 205 wRC+.
- Gunnar Henderson has seamlessly transitioned from raking in the upper minors to doing the same in the bigs. He mashed a homer last night and will attempt to stay hot tonight.
Tuesday's Hitter Strategy
The Braves are an excellent source of offense in a plus matchup tonight. The Orioles are also an attractive source of hitters at hitter-friendly Fenway Park. Finally, the Astros are a compelling GPP option for offense.
