NFL DFS Week 12 Stacking Advice & Strategy (2022 Fantasy Football)

NFL DFS Week 12 Stacking Advice & Strategy (2022 Fantasy Football)

Week 12 kicked off with a fantastic Thanksgiving slate, but now our Sunday DFS dinner plate looks a bit emptier with this smaller slate. Stacking correctly will be the key to you walking away with money or being left holding expired leftovers.

Joe Burrow + Tee Higgins (QB + WR Cin)

Our first stack comes from Cincinnati, where we will be leaning into Joe Burrow and Tee Higgins. With this play, we look into two injuries. The first injury is Joe Mixon, who will be out Sunday. This injury will help Zac Taylor construct his offense behind the arm of his young stud quarterback. We also have Ja’Marr Chase. He either returns and helps to draw coverage off of Tee Higgins, or he doesn’t return, and Joe Burrow has to lean on his second-round talent to push this offense down the field. With the Titans allowing the fourth most passing yards, tied for second in passing touchdowns, and allowed the sixth most fantasy points per game (FPPG), Burrow is a solid, safe floor with a breakable ceiling.

Now we have to break down their opponents, the Tennesee Titans. The Titans are a strong run defense but can be beaten by the passing game. The Titans have allowed the fifth most receiving yards to wide receivers and are tied for the second-most touchdowns to wide receivers. However, this same defense also allows the third-highest FPPG to the position. This matchup screams juicy for Tee Higgins, and stacking him with Joe Burrow unlocks the slate-breaking ability that can come from this duo.

Jeff Wilson + Miami Def (RB + Def Mia)

Let’s keep this one simple here. Miami is playing the Houston Texans. The Texans are one of the worst run defenses in the NFL this year, allowing the most rushing yards and rushing touchdowns on the ground. Wilson would be a good play even with Raheem Mostert healthy. The issue is Mostert is dealing with a knee injury. Wilson should get 90%, if not all, of the touches in the backfield this week as the team looks to protect their older running back.

As for the defense, this is a simple play. Davis Mills would have led to interceptions, sacks, pressure, and everything else that would give us fantasy points or lead to fantasy points. However, Kyle Allen is starting this week, yet the same outcome should prevail. They can produce a few turnovers, multiple sacks, and possibly a touchdown on your way to DFS glory.

Kenneth Walker + Foster Moreau (RB Sea + TE LV)

The Las Vegas Raiders vs. the Seattle Seahawks is a game that should be targeted on this slate. Remember, this is a smaller slate, but now we get a game full of potential with multiple players in each position to bring some fantasy value. Let’s say you don’t trust either quarterback; you can still play this game by taking pieces on each side of the ball.

The first is Kenneth Walker, a fantasy darling since being placed into the starter role after Rashaad Penny‘s injury. He is averaging 106 yards, over 20 points per game, and is a top-five player in broken tackles. Now he gets to face a Raiders team at the bottom of the league regarding tackling. This Raiders defense also allows the fourth most targets to running backs, fourth-most receptions to the position, the fourth most touchdowns to RBs, and the sixth most ppg to running backs. Walker can beat them on the ground and through the air, making the dual threat something we should target on our rosters.

Foster Moreau, and the tight end position in general, requires a deep belief in a dart throw shot. Moreau is facing a Seahawks defense that allows the second most yards to tight ends, the fifth most touchdowns to the position, and relinquishes the most fppg to the tight end position. So at his cheaper price point, take the shot on him falling in the endzone and hope your saved salary pays off elsewhere.
