Dynasty Trade Advice: CeeDee Lamb, Treylon Burks, George Kittle (2023 Fantasy Football)

In dynasty, if you’re not trading, you’re not trying. Trading is by far the best way to improve your team’s chances of winning a title. There are always a ton of players getting camp hype and who start showing out in the preseason, but to trade for them, you need to find a player to trade away. Here are some players that I’m fine trading away if the price is right in my own dynasty leagues.

Players to Sell in Dynasty Leagues

CeeDee Lamb (WR – DAL)

Once again, I’m selling the price, not the player. Lamb is a stud, but ECR has him ranked as WR3 in dynasty behind Justin Jefferson and Ja’Marr Chase. I can’t help but feel like that’s just because this second tier of receivers is so big. You can make a case for anyone down to about WR11, Stefon Diggs, to finish as the WR3 of the year. I’d much rather sell Lamb at what I believe is his peak value and get some extra pieces on top of the other receivers lower than him but in the same tier. Lamb will produce, but I’m fine giving up a single PPR point per game to get some depth that will help me win a bye week.

Treylon Burks (WR – TEN)

Burks is a sad story to me. He had all the potential in the world before he got hurt. Then, just as he’s about to be healthy and the dominant WR1 on his team, the Titans go out and sign DeAndre Hopkins. Now Burks is the WR2 on a team that could struggle to find the red zone with an aging Ryan Tannehill at the helm. I think an ECR of WR27 is pretty accurate for Burks, but he just feels very risky to me. I’d love to trade him away now and then try to get him back for cheaper in a few weeks once the season starts. You could easily add a future pick or depth piece for nothing just by being patient in the right situation.

George Kittle (TE – SF)

Last but not least is Mr. Kittle. He burst onto the TE scene a few years ago and won some people their leagues, but he just isn’t that guy anymore. It’s possible that he’s the fourth target option on his team, and at TE5, according to ECR, I’d much rather have a tight end that has the potential to be the top target-getter on his team. If I can move him for Njoku or Waller plus a first, I’m doing that all day. I just think the writing is on the wall for Kittle, and his time in that second tier of tight ends is coming to a close sooner rather than later.
