Kendre Miller suffers knee sprain, receiving further testing
According to Greg Auman of FOX Sports, rookie RB Kendre Miller suffered a knee sprain in Sunday’s preseason matchup and will receive further testing to determine the severity.
Fantasy Impact
Miller suffered a meniscus injury to his knee at the end of his college career at TCU that kept him out of the national championship. He had offseason surgery to repair his MCL/meniscus and he had been recovering from it during training camp. Further testing will help determine the severity, but Miller could be out for several weeks, especially if it’s the same knee. With RB Alvin Kamara facing suspension, Jamaal Williams could be the solo back for New Orleans in Week 1.

Rachaad White suffers non-contact injury at practice
According to Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times, second-year RB Rachaad White “buckled and fell without contact and came up limping” after taking a handoff in practice. He walked off the sideline under his own power and received attention from the trainers.
Fantasy Impact
White is expected to be the Buccaneers’ leader of the backfield in 2022 after usurping veteran RB Leonard Fournette for the RB1 role in 2022. Over his eight starts in 2022, he had 519 yards and two touchdowns, averaging four yards per carry. Hope is that White’s injury isn’t serious and that he’ll be fine for the regular season, but his status should be monitored. If he misses time, RB Chase Edmonds started the Buccaneers’ preseason opener, and RBs Sean Tucker and Ke’Shawn Vaughn could cycle in as well.

Joe Burrow: ‘Everything’s been positive’ with rehab
According to Ben Baby of ESPN, QB Joe Burrow, who is dealing with a calf injury, has been “progressing as he should,” per head coach Zac Taylor, and had a productive throwing session on Friday.
Fantasy Impact
The expectations for Burrow were that it would be several weeks, and it has been about two weeks since the original injury. At this point, it doesn’t appear that there are any setbacks going forward. With the current trajectory that he’s on through rehab, the hopes are that last year’s fantasy QB4 can be ready for Week 1.
