Wednesday’s NBA Sleeper Picks Player Predictions: De’Aaron Fox, Domantas Sabonis, Scottie Barnes (2/28)

Welcome to Sleeper Picks. Sleeper’s newest offering promised plenty of entertainment and action, and they delivered. We will break down our top three picks for tonight’s NBA action. Sleeper is quickly becoming one of the most popular season-long fantasy platforms, and they are expanding into other areas based on demand. Each week in this space, we’ll talk about some strategy for the new platform while providing our favorite NBA more/less picks.

NBA Sleeper Picks Player Predictions (2/28)

De’Aaron Fox (G – SAC): 5.5 assists

Fox has been rolling lately, recording six or more assists in each of his last five games and in seven of his last eight. Tonight, he faces off against a Denver Nuggets that he has lit up as a playmaker this season, dishing out eight or more assists in all three games against the defending NBA Champions. Fox put up 16, 10, and eight assists against the Nuggets this season for an average of 11.3 assists per game. Fire up the More on Fox for Wednesday night.

Pick: More

Domantas Sabonis (C – SAC): 0.5 double doubles

The NBA’s reigning triple double King is on the board with the double double total that has lasted overnight, putting it back in play for this column. Sabonis has been a monster on the boards this season but has ramped up his playmaking to a new level this season. He has 53 double doubles in 57 games played and leads the league with 21 triple doubles (Nikola Jokic has 18). The top play whenever it is on the board and not expired, Sabonis has recorded a double double in each of his three games against Denver this season. Slap the More on Sabonis for Wednesday night.

Pick: More

Scottie Barnes (G/F – TOR): 7.5 rebounds

I have no clue why this total stayed at 7.5 after Scottie’s triple double on Monday, so take advantage of this line today. Scottie has hauled in eight or more rebounds in seven of his last eight games and is an excellent bet to do so again tonight against the Dallas Mavericks. Scottie grabbed 14 rebounds against the Mavs in his lone meeting against them this season and will be doing battle primarily against an undersized big in P.J. Washington, who is inconsistent on the boards at best. Bump the More on Barnes for Wednesday night basketball.

Pick: More

Writers note: The lines are constantly changing on Sleeper (and sometimes expiring), so there is a high probability that one or all of the numbers may no longer be the same when you open your app. There are excellent values when they are first posted, with the only catch being that they are not all released at the same time. Vigilance could provide a solid return on investment this season, literally.
