News & Notes

Jordan Romano was activated from the injured list (IL) on Tuesday. He allowed one run but recorded the save in his season debut against the Yankees.

The Mariners have been using Andres Munoz against the middle of opponents’ lineups, which has led to him pitching in the eighth inning in some games with Ryne Stanek taking the save opportunity in the ninth inning. This has made Munoz a tad bit more risky for those in leagues where only saves count, not holds. Matt Brash is also expected to begin a rehab assignment soon, adding another high-leverage arm in the Mariners’ bullpen when he returns.

We are now seeing more committees appear, most recently with the Brewers and Rangers bullpens.

The Twins’ bullpen also remains a committee with Jhoan Duran (oblique) set to face live hitters on Friday.
