Monday’s Starting Pitcher Rankings
Logan Gilbert (SEA) at OAK
Logan Gilbert has pitched at an elite level lately, even with some unfortunate luck. According to FanGraphs, in his previous five starts spanning 30.0 innings, Gilbert has had a 3.00 ERA, 2.59 xFIP, 2.86 SIERA, 0.93 WHIP, 4.2 BB%, 30.3 K%, 29.6 CSW%, 126 Stuff+, 98 Location+, 106 Pitching+ and four quality starts. Gilbert has an average matchup tonight.
The Athletics are 15th in wRC+ (100) with a 25.0 K% versus righties and tied for 13th in wRC+(105) with a 23.3 K% at home this year. Oakland was also 14th in wRC+ (104) with a 23.2 K% in the previous 14 days. Thus, the Mariners are -135, and the game's total is 7.5 runs.
Luis Severino (NYM) vs. BOS
Luis Severino's underlying stats were better than his 4.08 ERA in his last five starts. In those five turns, he had a 3.21 xFIP, 3.32 SIERA, 1.36 WHIP, 6.5 BB%, 28.2 K%, 26.4 CSW%, 111 Stuff+, 102 Location+ and 110 Pitching+.
The veteran righty also has significant home and road splits, favoring pitching at home. In 13 starts totaling 77.2 innings at home this season, Severino has had a 3.13 ERA, 4.50 xFIP, 1.21 WHIP, 8.7 BB%, 18.0 K% and six quality starts.
Fortunately for Severino, he's catching the Red Sox at an ideal time. Boston was 26th in wRC+ (77) with a 26.3 K% in the previous 14 days. So, the Mets are -125, and the game's total is an unthreatening 8.0 runs.
Simeon Woods Richardson (MIN) at TB
Simeon Woods Richardson is the epitome of just a guy, otherwise referred to as a JAG. That's not meant to be a slight against him, but he's the caliber of pitcher to avoid using in challenging matchups. Yet, Richardson has a cupcake matchup and a bargain salary, making him a nifty SP2 at DK.
The Rays are tied for 22nd in wRC+ (92) with a 24.6 K% versus righties and 18th in wRC+ (99) with a 23.8 K% at home this year. Tampa Bay was also 24th in wRC+ (83) with a 27.6 K% in the previous 14 days. Finally, the Twins are -115, and the game's total is 8.0 runs.

Jack Leiter has been a punching bag in the bigs. In four starts for the Rangers, he's had a putrid 12.83 ERA, 7.65 xERA, 5.52 SIERA, 2.40 WHIP, 10.5 BB%, 14.5 K% and allowed 2.03 HR/9. Leiter has also yielded a .386 wOBA to righties and a .534 wOBA to lefties. The Bronx Bombers are built to hammer Leiter, ranking first in wRC+ (123) versus righties and first in wRC+ (118) on the road this season.

- Jazz Chisholm is in a groove, belting five homers and stealing seven bases with a .380 OBP, .288 ISO and 180 wRC+ in his previous 71 plate appearances.

Judge's full-season stats are impressive. Still, he's found another level in the second half. In 39 games and 180 plate appearances in the second half, Judge has hit 17 homers with 32 runs, 38 RBIs, two stolen bases, a .528 OBP, .423 ISO and 257 wRC+.
Juan Soto: 7.5 Fantasy Points - Higher (Sleeper) (1.60x)
Juan Soto: 9.0 Fantasy Points - Higher (Underdog)
Juan Soto is another crack at the overwhelmed Leiter. In 411 plate appearances against righties this year, Soto has hit 25 homers with a .423 OBP, .301 ISO and 186 wRC+. And, again, Leiter has yielded a .534 wOBA to lefties.
