Yesterday was a perfect example of making sure you check the weather when it comes to DFS, as we saw a few rainouts. Make sure that you do it again today.
For DraftKings, the slate we are going to focus on begins at 11:05 a.m. ET and includes 10 games. FanDuel also has a slate that begins at the same time, but it includes all 15 games from the day.

Saturday’s Top MLB DFS Picks & Player Props
Saturday’s Starting Pitcher Rankings (4/26)
- Sonny Gray has an extensive history against the Milwaukee Brewers. He has made 16 starts against them in his career. Of those 16 starts, half have been quality starts. He has given up more than four earned runs in only four starts. He has also struck out six or more batters in 15 of those 16 starts.
- The Jeffrey Springs recommendation is based on who he is facing. The Chicago White Sox have the third-worst OPS against left-handed pitchers (.538). Springs faced the White Sox just over 10 days ago. It wasn’t a great start with three earned runs allowed over five innings.
- Casey Mize was supposed to pitch yesterday, but that game was postponed due to rain. Instead, he’ll go today against the Orioles. He has only had one start this season where he has allowed more than one earned run. The strikeouts have been a little lacking with 18 in 24 innings, but he is a good value, especially on DraftKings, if you are looking for a cheap starting pitcher.

- This is as much about the matchup against Charlie Morton as anything. Yes, his ERA has been unlucky relative to his talent level, but his expected ERA is still nearly 6.00. He has already allowed five home runs because he is giving up flyballs at over a 40% rate.
- Gleyber Torres has the most extensive history against Morton due to his time with the Yankees. He is 6-for-23 in his career with a couple of doubles.
- Against a right-handed pitcher, Kerry Carpenter is always in play. He has been moved to the top of the lineup against right-handed pitchers. It makes sense considering he has a career .850 OPS against right-handed pitching.
- Two more players on the Tigers who have plus splits against right-handed pitching include Riley Greene and Dillon Dingler. Greene has hit 37 of his 43 career home runs against right-handed pitchers. Dingler is a cheaper option who has an .827 OPS against right-handed pitchers.

- You are going to have to pay up for some of the Cincinnati Reds playing at Coors Field. Considering the matchup, it may be worth it.
- Today’s starting pitcher for the Colorado Rockies is Antonio Senzatela. He is 89th in innings pitched at 24.1, yet he is first in hits allowed with 42. He has made two home starts this season. His most recent game was quite excellent, with only one earned run over six innings. Before that, his first home start included eight earned runs in only 4.1 innings.
- Most of the batters in the Reds’ lineup will have never seen Senzatela. Gavin Lux is the only player with an extensive history against Senzatela. He has gone 8-for-20 against him, but all eight of his hits have been singles.
- Elly De La Cruz can do something miraculous in any game that he plays, but it’s always more likely against a right-handed pitcher. His OPS against right-handed pitchers is over 200 points better than against left-handed pitchers.
- While Austin Hays is better against left-handed pitchers, he is still so affordably priced that it is hard not to use him. He has hit .361 with three home runs since being activated only 10 days ago.

Core Studs
- Adding Aaron Judge to your lineup is never a bad choice. His track record against Kevin Gausman is impeccable. He has 13 hits in 39 at-bats, with eight of them going for extra bases, including six home runs.
- Hunter Greene has the highest flyball rate in all of baseball at 60%. It hasn’t been an issue so far with a 2.35 ERA, but his expected ERA is nearly a run higher at 3.26. Hunter Goodman is hitting flyballs at over a 50% rate, so he has a good potential to hit a home run.
- Wyatt Langford has an OPS over 200 points higher against left-handed pitchers than right-handed pitchers. Left-handed pitcher Robbie Ray is today’s opposing pitcher.
Value Plays/Punts
- Kyle Higashioka is someone to watch against a left-handed starting pitcher. He has a .729 OPS against left-handed pitchers and a .644 against right-handed pitchers. He also has two hits against Robbie Ray, which were both home runs.
- After a slow start to the season, Dylan Crews has hit .270 over his last 10 games. He also has three home runs and three stolen bases in those games. Today’s matchup is against Grant Holmes, who is only getting ground balls 35% of the time.
- Francisco Alvarez just made his season debut yesterday. He went 1-for-4. Remember, though, this is a catcher who has a 25-home run season on his resume with an affordable cost.

Saturday’s Top 3 Underdog Player Props
Adolis Garcia has played in 26 games this season. He has gone under this number 16 times in 26 games. His struggles have been even more amplified against left-handed pitchers such as today’s starter, Robbie Ray. So far this season, Garcia is only 4-for-21 with one RBI against left-handed pitchers.
Jonathan Cannon has made four starts this season. He has cleared this number in four out of five, including his last three starts. Somewhat surprisingly, the Athletics are one of the toughest teams to strike out for the season. However, the starting pitcher against them has eclipsed this mark in six of their last seven games.
Rhys Hoskins is riding a five-game hitting streak and has hits in 10 of his last 13 games. Earlier in the article, I mentioned Sonny Gray‘s success against the Brewers. Hoskins has opposed Gray five times between his stints with Milwaukee and Philadelphia. He has exceeded this total bases number in four of those five games.
