Last Thursday’s DFS lineup was an outright winner, netting us a 45/1 payout in a 594-player field. Let’s stay hot in the DFS arena.
This nine-man roster is playable in DraftKings’ classic $50,000 salary format, but I’ve also listed each player’s price at FanDuel’s $55,000 salary equivalent. Here’s who I believe is primed for a big night on the ice.

Tuesday’s NHL DFS Picks & Advice
The lineup below is based on DraftKings, but FanDuel prices are also listed.
C1: Tim Stutzle (C – OTT) | DraftKings: $5,900/FanDuel: $6,400 FD
Getting Ottawa’s top scorer at a sub-$6,000 price tag feels like a bargain. Tim Stutzle enters the night with 72 points (21 goals, 51 assists) in 77 games, so he’s just shy of being a point-per-game guy.
Stutzle is primed for a breakout performance against a Blue Jackets team ranked 29th in GAA (3.26), 27th in SV% (.884) and 25th on the penalty kill (75.98%). They’ve also faced the 11th-most high-danger shots (281).
C2: Pius Suter (C – VAN) | DraftKings: $4,900/FanDuel: $5,800
Pius Suter (22 goals, 21 assists) has been elevated to Vancouver’s top line, which I believe makes him a valuable option for tonight’s game against Dallas. Suter has been playing well, scoring nine points (two goals, seven assists) in his last seven outings.
While the Stars are a wagon defensively, the advanced metrics suggest otherwise. Over the last 10 games, Dallas is last in both expected GAA (3.76) and high-danger shots against (47). Suter has goalscoring capabilities, and he also has a bona fide goalscorer next to him in Brock Boeser (25 goals). This duo may find success tonight.
Columbus boasts a legit top-six forward group, and the team as a whole is second in expected goals per 60 minutes (3.54) over the last 10 games. During the same time frame, second-line winger Boone Jenner is sixth in the NHL in expected goals (6.1).
Jenner has racked up nine points (six goals, three assists) and is averaging 3.5 shots on goal per game (SOG/G) during the 10-game stretch. This is a tough matchup against the Senators, but I like the high-volume-shooting Jenner tonight at home in Columbus.
Taylor Hall has found a resurgence since getting traded to the Hurricanes, scoring 15 points (eight goals, seven assists) in 26 games with the new club. He’s also averaging 2.1 SOG/G with Carolina.
The Hurricanes take on a Sabres squad ranked 28th in GAA (3.20) and 31st in SV% (.879) this season. Both offenses rank seventh or better in scoring over the last 10 games, so we may see quite a bit of scoring in this one. I like the upward-trending Hall to get in on the action.
Well, I didn’t plan on having back-to-back Hurricanes in my lineup tonight. However, there should be plenty of goals to go around as they take on the lowly Sabres defense. I’ll ride with Jackson Blake (15 goals, 16 assists), who has six points (four goals, two assists) in his last five games.
Blake is 18th in expected goals (4.8) over the last 10 games, averaging 2.1 SOG/G during the sample size. With Blake slotting in on the top line alongside the crafty Sebastian Aho, I like his chances to light the lamp tonight.

Lane Hutson is now a clear-cut favorite to win the Calder Trophy (Rookie of the Year), sitting at -1600 at DraftKings Sportsbook. With that said, this is a great value for Hutson at just $5,100 on DraftKings.
Hutson has been lighting up the league this season, ranking 51st in points (64) and eighth in assists (58). Hutson’s running the blueline on Montreal’s top power-play unit, which draws a matchup against a historically bad Detroit penalty kill (69.54%, 32nd)
Speaking of young defensemen stepping up, look no further than New Jersey’s Luke Hughes. The 21-year-old hasn’t been as productive as Hutson, as he enters with 42 points on seven goals and 25 assists.
However, Hughes has been nearly just as hot lately, scoring nine points (one goal, eight assists) and averaging 2.7 SOG/G in his last six outings. He’ll be looking to score on a Boston defense that has completely dropped off, ranking 25th in GAA (3.05).
Tonight’s one of those nights where I think it makes sense to ride with the chalk option in net. I’ll splurge on New Jersey’s Jacob Markstrom, who’s tasked with slowing down a bottom-tier Boston offense.
The B’s, over the last 10 games, are 30th in goals per 60 minutes (2.08), while sitting dead last in expected goals per 60 minutes (2.18). They’re also just 24th in high-danger shots (259) throughout the whole season.
Markstrom has proven to be an excellent acquisition for the Devils, as he’s 26-14-6 (13th-most wins) with a 2.43 GAA (fifth) and .902 SV% (25th). His four shutouts are the sixth-most in the NHL. Don’t be surprised if he blanks the Bruins tonight.
I’ll round out my lineup with Montreal’s Brendan Gallagher, who’s slotting in on the third line with Christian Dvorak and Josh Anderson. Gallagher has 36 points (20 goals, 16 assists) in 77 games, but he’s scored six points (three goals, three assists) in his last seven contests.
This is a good spot against a Red Wings team that’s nearly eliminated from the playoffs and enters the night ranked 22nd in GAA (2.92) and 21st in SV% (.891).
