Today’s MLB DFS & Player Props Picks
Friday’s Starting Pitcher Rankings
Corbin Burnes (ARI) vs. COL
The 2.95 ERA Corbin Burnes has spun through his first seven starts spanning 39.2 innings for the Diamondbacks this year, overstates how well he’s pitched. According to FanGraphs, he also has a much less impressive 4.65 xERA, 4.91 xFIP, 4.54 SIERA and 1.31 WHIP. Fortunately, Burnes has a cupcake to feast on tonight.
The Rockies are dead last in wRC+ (67) with a 26.0 K% versus righties and on the road (51) this season, with a 28.3 K% in road tilts this year. Even mediocre pitchers can carve up the Rockies on the road, and Burnes has demonstrated a much higher ceiling than mediocre in years prior to 2025, so he might have more up his sleeve. And, of course, the Diamondbacks are -400, and the game’s total is 9.5 runs, which isn’t threatening because of how large of a favorite Arizona is.
Logan Webb (SF) vs. ATH
Logan Webb is firing on all cylinders this year, benefiting from throwing more cutters and sliders at the expense of his changeup. In nine starts spanning a workhorse-like 55.1 innings, Webb has had the following stats in 2025.
- 2.60 ERA
- 2.89 xERA
- 2.32 xFIP
- 2.70 SIERA
- 1.16 WHIP
- Four wins
- Six quality starts
- 6.3 BB%
- 29.3 K% (career-high)
- 54.9 GB%
- 11.3 SwStr%
- 32.3 CSW% (career-high)
- 106 stuff+
- 109 location+
- 112 pitching+
Webb doesn’t have a pristine matchup. The Athletics are 11th in wRC+ (110) with a 19.3 K% versus righties and fourth in wRC+ (116) with 20.9 K% on the road this season. Nevertheless, the Giants are -172, and the game’s total is a pitcher-friendly 7.5 runs. Thus, Webb is an outstanding selection in all game types tonight.
Joe Ryan (MIN) at MIL
It was challenging to narrow down the best pitching options on tonight’s pitching-rich choices, but Joe Ryan narrowly edged out some stiff competition because of his excellent numbers, favorable matchup and stellar betting information. In eight starts totaling 46 innings this year, Ryan has a 2.74 ERA, 3.18 xERA, 3.45 xFIP, 2.79 SIERA, 0.83 WHIP, 2.8 BB% and 30.3 K%. His excellent surface and underlying stats are supported by a 13.4 SwStr%, 29.9 CSW%, 105 stuff+, 108 location+ and 109 pitching+ this year.
Again, Ryan has a sweet matchup and nifty betting info. The Brewers are tied for 22nd in wRC+ (94) with a 20.4 K% versus righties and 25th in wRC+ (81) with a 22.5 K% at home in 2025. Finally, the Twins are -110, and the game’s total is a pitcher-friendly 7.5 runs.

Suggested Lineup Stacks
The Rangers have a deep lineup of above-average hitters against righties and a plus matchup tonight. Eight of Texas’s projected starters have had at least a 102 wRC+ against right-handed pitchers since 2023 or debuting in the Majors, and two have had at least a 121 wRC+. Conversely, Lance McCullers has a 15.75 ERA, 11.17 xERA, 8.19 xFIP, 7.13 SIERA and 3.00 WHIP in two starts this year after missing the entire 2023 and 2024 seasons. The veteran righty has also coughed up a .456 wOBA to lefties and a .533 wOBA to righties this year, making him an ideal matchup for all of the hitters on the Rangers.
- Home (Chase Field)
- Game Total/Moneyline: 9.5 Runs/ARI -400
Tanner Gordon is expected to get the ball for the Rockies tonight. In nine starts totaling 40.2 innings since reaching The Show last year, Gordon has had an 8.19 ERA, 4.45 xFIP, 4.49 SIERA, 1.70 WHIP, 3.7 BB% and 16.0 K%. Gordon has also coughed up a .375 wOBA to 95 lefties and a .474 wOBA to 93 right-handed batters in his young big-league career. The Diamondbacks should crush Gordon tonight, as evidenced by the game’s massive total and their listing as a commanding favorite.
Core Studs
- Corbin Carroll has tallied 14 homers, 36 runs, 31 RBIs, six stolen bases, a .358 OBP, .328 ISO, .412 wOBA, .422 xwOBA and 163 wRC+ in 44 games and 204 plate appearances this season.
- Wyatt Langford is amid a breakout campaign, swatting eight homers and stealing seven bases with 18 runs, 18 RBIs, a .342 OBP, .233 ISO and 134 wRC+ in 35 games and 149 plate appearances this season.
- In 217 plate appearances against lefties since 2023, Heliot Ramos has belted 12 bombs with a .373 OBP, .295 ISO and 164 wRC+.
Value Plays/Punts
- Hyeseong Kim had a fast start at Triple-A this year and kicked it up a notch in the Majors. In 12 games and 30 plate appearances for the Dodgers, Kim has nine runs, one homer, five RBIs, three stolen bases, a .467 OBP, .143 ISO and 196 wRC+.
- In Josh Jung‘s last 78 plate appearances, he’s had eight runs, five homers, 11 RBIs, one stolen base, a .359 OBP, .222 ISO and 152 wRC+.
- Dalton Rushing was summoned from the minors last night after destroying baseballs at every step along the minor-league ladder. In 169 career plate appearances in Triple-A, Rushing hit nine homers with a .396 OBP, .237 ISO and 133 wRC+. He’s a screaming value at both DFS providers tonight.

Check out our best picks on the MLB Underdog Cheat Sheet
Wyatt Langford: 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs – Higher (Sleeper) (1.72x)
Wyatt Langford: 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs – Higher (Underdog)
In 35 games and 149 plate appearances this year, Langford has 33 hits, 18 runs, 18 RBIs, a .256 batting average, .252 expected batting average (xBA), .488 slugging and .495 expected slugging (xSLG). Langford has surpassed 1.5 hits plus runs and RBIs 17 times this year and has a mouthwatering matchup. McCullers has allowed four hits, a .444 batting average, .643 OBP and .556 slugging to 14 lefties this season.
Evan Carter: 0.5 Total Bases – Higher (Underdog)
Evan Carter’s matchup against McCullers is also cushy. McCullers has yielded two hits and struck out only two of 12 left-handed batters he’s faced this season. In 226 career plate appearances against righties, Carter has 48 hits and a .247 batting average. Finally, he has a .246 xBA for the Rangers this season.
Josh Naylor: 1.5 Total Bases – Higher (Sleeper) (1.83x)
Josh Naylor: 1.5 Total Bases – Higher (Underdog)
The Rockies haven’t announced a starter, and while they could go a different direction than the previously discussed Gordon, their alternatives are also lousy. Josh Naylor is having a stellar season at the plate and can handle whoever the Rockies trot out to the hill. In 186 plate appearances this year, Naylor has 49 hits (33 singles, 11 doubles, zero triples and five homers), a .299 batting average, .279 xBA, .457 slugging, .450 xSLG and .159 ISO. Thus, we project Naylor to have 1.75 total bases tonight.
