Today’s MLB DFS & Player Props Picks
Friday’s Starting Pitcher Rankings
Tarik Skubal (DET) at LAA
Tarik Skubal is following up an American League Cy Young Award-winning campaign with as good or better production out of the gate this season. According to FanGraphs, in six starts spanning 34.2 innings this year, he has the following stats.
- 2.34 ERA
- 2.80 xERA
- 2.77 xFIP
- 2.75 SIERA
- 1.04 WHIP
- Three wins
- Three quality starts
- 3.6 BB%
- 28.8 K%
- 16.3 SwStr%
- 32.8 CSW%
- 118 stuff+
- 110 location+
- 128 pitching+
Skubal is in a position to smash tonight.
The Angels have a pathetic offense against lefties, ranking 29th in wRC+ (59) with a 28.2 K% against them this season. They’re also 23rd in wRC+ (92) with a 28.6 K% at home this year. Unsurprisingly, the Tigers are -166 favorites, and the game’s total is a pitcher-friendly 7.5 runs.
Framber Valdez (HOU) at CWS
Framber Valdez is a road warrior. In 194.1 innings on the road since 2023, the veteran lefty has had a 3.57 ERA, 3.58 xFIP, 1.18 WHIP, 8.6 BB%, 22.4 K% and 55.9 GB%. He should continue his road excellence in a plus matchup.
The White Sox are 27th in wRC+ (63) with a 22.0 K% versus lefties. Chicago is also 29th in wRC+ (73) with a 22.4 K% at home. So, the Astros are listed as -235 favorites, and the game’s total is just 7.5 runs.
Robbie Ray (SF) vs. COL
Robbie Ray’s 3.73 ERA in six starts spanning 31.1 innings this season has outkicked his 4.46 xERA, 4.56 xFIP and 4.53 SIERA. Still, he’s coming off his best start of the season, allowing only two runs on five hits and one walk with eight strikeouts in seven innings.
Ray can build on the start with a mouthwatering matchup and equally dreamy betting info. The Rockies are 28th in wRC+ (61) with a 29.2 K% versus lefties and 30th in wRC+ (51) with a 28.1 K% on the road this year. Finally, the Giants are -250, and the game’s total is 8.0 runs. Ray can squander a cushy matchup. Still, the lefty’s upside against the Rockies is tailor-made for GPPs.

Suggested Lineup Stacks
The Blue Jays have a sweet matchup tonight. Logan Allen has a 4.21 ERA, 4.55 xERA, 5.03 xFIP, 5.13 SIERA and 1.56 WHIP in five starts this season. Still, it’s extra exciting for Toronto because of their righty-laden lineup. Seven of their projected starters are right-handed or switch-hitting batters. Since last season, Allen has coughed up a .379 wOBA to 452 right-handed batters. It’s wheels up for the Blue Jays to take flight tonight.
- Home (Oracle Park)
- Game Total/Moneyline: 8.0 Runs/SF -250
Antonio Senzatela doesn’t belong in a big-league rotation. He has a 5.22 ERA, 7.57 xERA, 4.46 xFIP, 4.45 SIERA and 1.88 WHIP in six starts this year. Senzatela has also allowed 2.15 HR/9 this year. Since last season, Senzatela has ceded a .394 wOBA to 107 left-handed batters and a .494 wOBA to 84 right-handed batters. San Francisco’s offense should be the latest beneficiary of Senzatela, who is still inexplicably having a starting-pitching gig.
Core Studs

- Bo Bichette‘s batted-ball data is much better than his surface stats suggest. He has a .293 batting average, .333 xBA, .368 slugging, .505 xSLG, .306 wOBA and .375 xwOBA in 141 plate appearances this season.

Vladimir Guerrero: 7.5 Fantasy Points – Higher (Sleeper) (1.75x)
Vladimir Guerrero: 8.5 Fantasy Points – Higher (Underdog)
Guerrero is on a heater. In his previous 55 plate appearances, he’s had 12 hits (six singles, two doubles, zero triples and four homers), eight runs, nine RBIs, a .364 OBP, .298 ISO and 159 wRC+.
Michael Toglia: 0.5 Total Bases – Lower (Underdog)
Michael Toglia is dreadful against lefties. In 234 plate appearances against southpaws since 2023, he’s had 43 hits and a .204 batting average. Toglia is even worse on the road. In 358 plate appearances on the road since 2023, he’s had 57 hits and a .175 batting average. Toglia has only six hits and a .111 batting average in 15 games and 57 plate appearances on the road this year.
Mike Yastrzemski: 0.5 Runs – Higher (Sleeper) (1.74x)
Mike Yastrzemski: 0.5 Runs – Higher (Underdog)
Yastrzemski has excelled in the leadoff spot for the Giants this season. In 13 games and 57 plate appearances atop San Francisco’s order in 2025, he’s scored eight runs with a .386 OBP and 14.0 BB%. Yastrzemski’s excellent on-base skills and spot atop the order should allow him to score a run in a probable outburst against the overmatched Senzatela.
