Fantasy Baseball Prospect Report

I won’t hit on every prospect every week, but will focus on the most relevant prospects throughout the week and will follow up with other notable players. This article will not focus on any AAAA-type players or veterans in the Minors who have outlived their prospect status.

NOTE: Rookie status is determined by 130 at-bats or 50 innings pitched at the Major League level. All stats are up-to-date as of Sunday, July 6th.

Full Top 150 Prospect Rankings:

AAA Hitters

58. Dylan Beavers (OF – BAL)

  • 2024 AA/AAA: .242/.342/.408 | 12.8 BB%, 23.5 K% | 40 XBH, 15 HR, 31 SB
  • 2025 AAA (as of 7/6/25): .319/.407/.504 | 13.2 BB%, 17.4 K% | 22 XBH, 10 HR, 19 SB
  • This Week: 10/21 | 3 XBH, 2 HR, 1 SB
  • Age: 23
  • ETA: Late 2025
  • fScores: 102 fContact, 108 fDiscipline, 91 fPower, 173 fSpeed
  • Comp: Kyle Tucker mechanics with a Pete Crow-Armstrong skillset
  • Prime Skills: Dylan Beavers is a big lefty outfielder who killed it in the doubles department last year and is now transitioning some of that into home run power. There’s a potential 20/25 player here if he can hit enough to make it work, as the 105.6 90th percentile exit velocity and 110.3 max exit velocity portend to at least 20 home run power. The hit tool has progressed dramatically since last season, as he now has a well above-average 90.4% Z-Contact% and 83.1% Contact% with only a 20.1% chase rate.
  • Player Notes: Beavers is incredibly underrated, and I think people have a general Orioles prospect fatigue thing going on right now, but he could be one of the best value prospects on the market right now.

62. Carson Williams (SS – TB)

  • 2024 AA: .256/.352/.469 | 11.5 BB%, 28.5 K% | 46 XBH, 20 HR, 33 SB
  • 2025 AAA (as of 7/6/25): .213/.324/.441 | 12.9 BB%, 35.4 K% | 29 XBH, 15 HR, 17 SB
  • This Week: 6/14 (7 BBs) | 3 XBH, 3 HR, 3 SB
  • Age: 22
  • ETA: Late 2025
  • fScores (pre-season): 86 fContact, 91 fDiscipline, 100 fPower, 133 fSpeed
  • Comp: Trevor Story outside of Coors Field with better defense
  • Prime Skills: Carson Williams has power, speed and OK plate skills. The only thing he is missing right now is the hit tool. He has quick hands and changed his stance from a slight crouch to be more upright since last year, but those strikeouts need to go down for him to reach his potential as a 20/20 type with a good walk rate in the Majors. The hit tool and swing and miss have only been getting worse since early 2024, as he has a 59.9% contact rate. The good news is that the chase rate is not bad. His issue seems to be swinging and missing in the zone, which might be just exposure against upper-tier breaking pitches.
  • Player Notes: Williams has some killer power/speed, but the hit tool is a complete disaster. He’s been improving a bit over the last couple of weeks, but he has not progressed from last year.

72. Spencer Jones (OF – NYY)

  • 2024 AA: .259/.336/.452 | 9.9 BB%, 36.8 K% | 53 XBH, 17 HR, 25 SB
  • 2025 AA/AAA (as of 7/3/25): .291/.403/.626 | 15.6 BB%, 33.3 K% | 30 XBH, 19 HR, 12 SB
  • XBH, 9 HR, 6 SB
  • This Week: 9/19 (5 BBs) | 5 XBH, 2 HR, 2 SB
  • Age: 24
  • ETA: Early 2026
  • fScores: 87 fContact, 74 fDiscipline, 144 fPower, 142 fSpeed
  • Comp: Joey Gallo
  • Prime Skills: Spencer Jones is huge at 6-foot-6 and has ridiculous power potential with decent speed to boot. He has a ton of sneaky speed to go along with the huge power potential, but the swing has some massive holes in it and has gotten progressively worse (73.2% contact rate in 2023, 61.6% in 2024 and 58.6% in 2025). He changed his stance this season, which has resulted in a better eye, but an even worse hit tool, as he has this very open and crouched stance now.
  • Player Notes: He’s been raking at AAA even without any real progression in his terrible contact rates. When he hits the ball, he smokes it, but he doesn’t hit the ball as much as we would like. That could result in a volatile, but sometimes effective, fantasy bat.

118. Owen Caissie (OF – CHC)

  • 2024 AAA: .278/.375/.472 | 12.9 BB%, 28.4 K% | 51 XBH, 19 HR, 11 SB
  • 2025 AAA (as of 7/6/25): .273/.382/.551 | 14 BB%, 30.6 K% | 37 XBH, 16 HR, 3 SB
  • This Week: 7/19 | 5 XBH, 4 HR, 0 SB
  • Age: 22
  • ETA: Late 2025
  • fScores (May): 92 fContact, 91 fDiscipline, 107 fPower, 88 fSpeed
  • Comp: Cody Bellinger meets Joey Gallo
  • Prime Skills: The power is legit for this big lefty outfielder (115.5 max exit velocity last year and around 93.5 average exit velocity with a 108.3 90th percentile exit velocity), but the hit tool (66.6% Contact% and 75.7% Z-Contact%) and plate skills need some serious work. There is a lot of power potential here; however, it will likely come in a strong-side platoon role, because Owen Caissie’s numbers against lefties are horrendous with a .189/.362/.351 slash against same-handed pitching.
  • Player Notes: Caissie needs a trade or a promotion. He’s ready for the next level despite still having way too high of strikeout numbers, which I just don’t see improving. He’s kind of like a more muted version of Spencer Jones with less speed, statistically speaking.

146. Carter Jensen (C – KC)

  • 2024 A+/AA: .259/.359/.450 | 13.2 BB%, 23.4 K% | 46 XBH, 18 HR, 17 SB
  • 2025 AA/AAA (as of 7/6/25): .280/.348/.449 | 9.4 BB%, 25.4 K% | 27 XBH, 11 HR, 8 SB
  • This Week: 7/18 | 7 XBH, 4 HR, 1 SB
  • Age: 21
  • ETA: Mid 2026
  • fScores: N/A
  • Comp: Bo Naylor with a bit of a Will Smith batted ball profile
  • Prime Skills: Carter Jensen is a beast of an athlete for a catcher. The Royals are the masters at developing stud catchers, it seems, alongside the Cardinals. He has some solid pull power while also showing the ability to hit the ball the other way, which should keep him from getting shifted to death. He’s a line drive hitter rather than a fly ball hitter, so he should run some higher batting average on balls in play (BABIP) numbers (27% line drive rate in 2025), and he has a 78.3% contact rate. He has plus plate skills with only a 9.1% SwStr% and is great on the basepaths.
  • Player Notes: Jensen has been raking at AAA, which is a friendly reminder that AAA is worse for pitchers and better for hitters than AA, but he has been very impressive.

Joe Mack (C – MIA)

  • Season: .268/.347/.460 | 9.4 BB% / 24.3 K% | 25 XBH, 11 HR, 4 SB
  • This Week: 9/23 | 7 XBH, 4 HR, 0 SB
  • Notes: Joe Mack is hitting a power uptick now and does have 30 homer potential as a catcher. It will be interesting to see how the Marlins shuffle Mack with Agustin Ramirez long-term.

AAA Pitchers

103. Nolan McLean (SP – NYM)

  • 2024 CPX/A+: 76 IP | 21.2 K-BB%, 15.8 SwStr%, 32 CSW% | 2.84 ERA, 1.04 WHIP
  • 2025 AA/AAA (as of 7/6/25): 81 IP | 15 K-BB%, 11.7 SwStr%, 28.3 CSW% | 2.33 ERA, 1.19 WHIP
  • This Week: 5 IP | 10 Ks, 1 BBs | 3.60 ERA, 1.60 WHIP
  • Age: 23
  • ETA: Mid 2026
  • fScores: N/A
  • Comp: Tanner Bibee/Luis Severino mash-up
  • Prime Skills: Nolan McLean is focusing on pitching for the first year of his Minor League career, and we are seeing an uptick in the effectiveness of his stuff. His arsenal includes a mediocre mid-90s fastball (that tops out at 98), an elite late breaking sweeper with a unique hard cut at the tail end of the pitch with a fantastic sinker that sits in the mid-90s and has a 17.4% SwStr% in AAA along with an 88-90 miles per hour (MPH) cutter, an 85-88 MPH change-up and a low-80s curveball he will drop in now and then.
  • Player Notes: McLean has not been getting as many strikeouts as you would expect with that monster slider. Like most of AAA pitchers, it’s been a tough transition to figure out the tighter strike zone and Automated Ball-Strike system (ABS). Ten strikeouts this week are a good sign for a team that will need pitching down the stretch.

131. Hunter Barco (SP – PIT)

  • 2024 A+/AA: 66 IP | 22.9 K-BB%, 14.1 SwStr%, 30.1 CSW% | 3.27 ERA, 1.06 WHIP
  • 2025 AA/AAA (as of 7/6/25): 63 1/3 IP | 20.9 K-BB%, 14 SwStr%, 31/2 CSW% | 1.85 ERA, 1.01 WHIP
  • This Week: 12 IP (2 starts) | 14 Ks, 3 BBs | 0.75 ERA, 0.42 WHIP
  • Age: 23
  • ETA: Mid 2025
  • fScores: 105 fStuff, 96 fControl, 104 fERA
  • Comp: Chris Sale-lite/Brandon Williamson mash-up
  • Prime Skills: Hunter Barco is a big lefty with an almost side arm delivery with a 93-94 MPH sinker as his primary fastball while lightly mixing in a cutter as a secondary fastball and playing up a killer 82-85 MPH splitter (28.6% SwStr%) that he commands with great effectiveness (57.1% strikeut rate) with an average-to-below-average 81-83 MPH slider as the third pitch that is better at generating ground balls than whiffs (12.6% SwStr%).
  • Player Notes: I’ve always been a fan of Barco, and now we are seeing better health from him. It would be interesting if he were up in the Majors before Bubba Chandler.

Brandon Sproat (SP – NYM)

  • 2024 AAA Stats: 116 1/3 IP | 19.2 K-BB%, 14.5 SwStr%, 29.7 CSW% | 3.40 ERA, 1.11 WHIP
  • 2025 AA/AAA (as of 7/6/25): 73 IP | 6.6 K-BB%, 10.5 SwStr%, 26.3 CSW% | 5.05 ERA, 1.41 WHIP
  • This Week: 5 IP | 8 Ks, 1 BBs | 0.00 ERA, 0.60 WHIP
  • Age: 24
  • ETA: Mid 2025
  • fScores: 100 fStuff, 96 fControl, 111 fERA
  • Comp: Pablo Lopez
  • Prime Skills: Brandon Sproat is an athletic righty who has a quick action in his delivery and hits 97-99 MPH on his fastball regularly, which is his best pitch, but he pairs it against a cutter that can get nasty at 94-96 MPH, an average-ish change-up and a slider with some nice run against righties. He pounds the fastball in the zone against lefties, while running his slider and cutter against righties with the improved command at AA..
  • Player Notes: Sproat has been coming around at AAA over his last couple of starts. Keep an eye out, as the Mets may need some help down the stretch.

Troy Melton (SP – DET)

  • 2025 Season: 65 1/3 IP | 24.7 K-BB%, 15.2 SwStr%, 31.3 CSW% | 3.43 ERA, 1.26 WHIP
  • This Week: 6 IP | 7 Ks, 0 BBs | 0.00 ERA, 0.33 WHIP
  • Notes: Troy Melton has been incredibly unlucky this season, running a .386 BABIP, including a .447 BABIP at AAA, but this was his first big start in AAA. The Tigers are loaded at starting pitching, but he could be the best of the next up. He has a strong arsenal with very good fastball command. He has a good, athletic build at 6-foot-4, 210 pounds with a 3/4 arm slot from the right side. The fastball has some very nice ride from a lower release point, making it very deceptive with a very sharp, horizontally breaking slider.
  • Arsenal:
    • 95-99 MPH fastball – 60 grade (15.6% SwStr%)
    • 88-91 MPH cutter – 60 grade (17.4% SwStr%)
    • 85-86 MPH slider – 50/60 grade (19% SwStr%)
    • 88-90 MPH change-up – not a good pitch right now
    • 78-80 MPH change-up – 40/45 grade – good command, poor swing and miss

AA Hitters

79. Aidan Miller (SS – PHI)

  • 2024 A/A+/AA: .261/.366/.446 | 12.1 BB%, 21.6 K% | 45 XBH, 11 HR, 23 SB
  • 2025 AA (as of 7/6/25): .243/.358/.387 | 14.3 BB%, 25.8 K% | 18 XBH, 7 HR, 31 SB
  • This Week: 8/21 (5 BBs) | 4 XBH, 1 HR, 5 SB
  • Age: 20
  • ETA: Late 2026
  • fScores: N/A
  • Comp: Royce Lewis with a worse hit tool
  • Prime Skills: Aidan Miller is an athlete. I had a live look at him, and he’s a super athlete and a gamer. A lot of analysts thought he would move off shortstop to third base, but he looks super smooth and athletic. He should stay at shortstop as long as he can. He has above-average to plus tools across the board, but is still pretty raw and seems to run into issues when he gets to a new level until he can adapt.
  • Player Notes: Miller is heating up and has been a beast this last month, especially on the basepaths. The contact tool had been pretty stable all season, but the power is finally coming along.

Zach Cole (OF – HOU)

  • Season: .249/.345/.537 | 11.3 BB% / 38.4 K% | 24 XBH, 13 HR, 13 SB
  • This Week: 10/26 | 8 XBH, 7 HR, 0 SB
  • Notes: Seven bombs in one week is a record this year and might be a record in the two years I have been writing this article. Zach Cole has a classic Astros profile of power, speed and a terrible hit tool.

AA Pitchers

30. Thomas White (SP – MIA)

  • 2024 A/A+: 96 IP | 20 K-BB%, 14.6 SwStr%, 30.5 CSW% | 2.81 ERA, 1.31 WHIP
  • 2025 A+/AA (as of 7/6/25): 47 1/3 IP | 22.3 K-BB%, 16.3 SwStr%, 30.7 CSW% | 2.66 ERA, 1.16 WHIP
  • This Week: 9 2/3 (2 starts) IP | 12 Ks, 4 BBs | 1.86 ERA, 0.93 WHIP
  • Age: 20
  • ETA: Mid 2026
  • fScore: N/A
  • Comp: Carlos Rodon/Andrew Heaney mash-up
  • Prime Skills: Thomas White is a big 6-foot-5 lefty who I saw live both in Single-A ball and in the Spring Breakout game, with noticeable differences in his repertoire that have made his stuff very impressive. He needs to work on harnessing the command.
  • Player Notes: White has been babied a bit from an innings standpoint this season, but the stuff has been very good. He looks like a future top-of-the-rotation starter.
  • In Person (last year vs. this year):
    • vFB 94-97 MPH/97-99 MPH
    • 78-82 MPH slider/83-85 MPH (gyro slider – harder – less loop) – 15.4% SwStr%
    • 85-87 MPH/85-88 MPH change-up – 21.6% SwStr%

49. Robby Snelling (SP – MIA)

  • 2024 AA/AAA: 115 1/3 IP | 13.8 K-BB%, 12.2 SwStr%, 28.9 CSW% | 5.15 ERA, 1.52 WHIP
  • 2025 AA (as of 7/6/25): 72 1/3 IP | 20.9 K-BB%, 12.7 SwStr%, 29.8 CSW% | 3.61 ERA, 1.22 WHIP
  • This Week: 5 IP | 8 Ks, 1 BBs | 1.80 ERA, 1.20 WHIP
  • Age: 21
  • ETA: Late 2025
  • fScores: 102 fStuff, 97 fControl, fERA 107
  • Comp: Jesus Luzardo-lite
  • Prime Skills: Robby Snelling’s 3/4 arm-slot helps create a lot of deception between his fastball and slider, which he repurposed this year. He also improved his change-up. He’s a three-pitch lefty with an above-average fastball, a good change-up and a stellar breaking pitch with a knack for avoiding hard contact. Snelling was only hitting 93 on the fastball last year, but it’s up to 95-97 this year. We forget how young he was in 2023 when he first broke out. His change-up is also up a couple of ticks from 86 MPH last year to 88-89 this year. The slider is up to an average of about 83 MPH, and that’s where the majority of his strikeouts seem to come from, but he does have some issues in a reverse split against lefties this season, oddly enough.
  • Player Notes: Snelling went through a couple of rough patches earlier this season, but has gotten back on track lately.

78. Carlos Lagrange (SP – NYY)

  • 2024 CPX/A: 21 IP | 7 K-BB%, 11.4 SwStr%, 30.1 CSW% | 6.86 ERA, 1.62 WHIP
  • 2025 A+/AA (as of 7/6/25): 67 IP | 24.7 K-BB%, 16.5 SwStr%, 34.5 CSW% | 4.43 ERA, 1.16 WHIP
  • This Week: 6 IP | 10 Ks, 2 BBs | 1.50 ERA, 0.50 WHIP
  • Age: 22
  • ETA: Mid 2026
  • fScores: N/A
  • Comp: Joe Musgrove with more velocity
  • Prime Skills: Carlos Lagrange improved his command significantly this season, which made him a completely different pitcher, especially as a 6-foot-7 beast who can touch 101 MPH on the fastball, complemented by a hard vertical breaker and a sweeper. Righties can’t even touch Lagrange as he has a 38% K-BB rate against them, but lefties do a little more damage (.723 OPS against) as the walk rate against lefties increases around 8%.
  • Player Notes: Lagrange is a beast and has taken off at AA after a rough couple of early starts.

84. Jonah Tong (SP – NYM)

  • 2024 A/A+/AA: 113 IP | 24.1 K-BB%, 14.9 SwStr%, 31.1 CSW | 3.03 ERA, 1.17 WHIP
  • 2025 AA (as of 7/6/25): 78 2/3 IP | 29.4 K-BB%, 16.4 SwStr%, 34.5 CSW | 1.83 ERA, 0.93 WHIP
  • This Week: 5 2/3 IP | 10 Ks, 2 BBs | 3.18 ERA, 1.06 WHIP
  • Age: 21
  • ETA: Mid 2026
  • fScore: 103 fStuff, 88 fControl, 118 fERA
  • Comp: Jared Jones-lite
  • Prime Skills: Jonah Tong has some tricky induced vertical break (IVB) on a sinking mid-90s fastball (hitting 95-96 MPH now), a big curve that drops right in on hitters from a high over the top arm slot from a smaller 6-foot-1, 180-pound frame. He also pairs these with a decent back-pocket change-up and a hard vertical slider to bridge between the fastball and curveball. The command was on early in the year, but it seems to come and go with Tong.
  • Player Notes: Tong just keeps rolling. I wonder if the Mets will let him go through the AAA ringer or if they will promote him directly from AA, since AAA has been a meat grinder for all of their pitching prospects.

96. Payton Tolle (SP – BOS)

  • 2024 College: 81 1/3 IP | 37.1 K-BB% | 3.64 ERA, 1.15 WHIP
  • 2025 A+/AA (as of 7/6/25): 58 2/3 IP | 33.8 K-BB%, 18.1 SwStr%, 37.6% CSW | 3.38 ERA, 1.07 WHIP
  • This Week: 4 IP | 8 Ks, 0 BBs | 2.25 ERA, 0.50 WHIP
  • Age: 22
  • ETA: Debuted
  • fScores: N/A
  • Comp: Young Tarik Skubal-lite without the sinker
  • Prime Skills: Payton Tolle has given up some damage, but has been great despite some homer issues earlier in the season. Tolle has 41 strikeouts and only three walks in his last five starts, but also has had some home run issues, blemishing his stellar under-the-hood metrics. He’s a huge 6-foot-6, 230-pound lefty who gets up to 96 MPH on the fastball, has a plus wipeout sweeper and a killer change-up.
  • Player Notes: Tolle has been ridiculous at every level so far this season, and the innings have been limited on the way up, even more so than Lagrange. He may have been one of the better draft picks from last year.

Brody Hopkins (SP – TB)

  • 2025 Season: 55 IP | 23.2 K-BB%, 14.7 SwStr%, 31.1 CSW% | 3.93 ERA, 1.40 WHIP
  • This Week: 7 IP | 9 Ks, 0 BBs | 1.29 ERA, 0.71 WHIP
  • Notes: Brody Hopkins has some killer stuff, throwing 98 MPH from the right side. He just missed being ranked inside the top 150 as a guy with killer stuff, but pretty bad command. When he has these good command starts, he’s going to make the list, since this is his fifth appearance on the list this year.

Mitch Bratt (SP – TEX)

  • 2025 Season: 74 IP | 26.5 K-BB%, 14 SwStr%, 31.3 CSW% | 2.55 ERA, 1.08 WHIP
  • This Week: 6 IP | 8 Ks, 1 BBs | 1.50 ERA, 0.67 WHIP
  • Notes: Mitch Bratt has shown elite command all season after struggling in his first run at AA at the end of last season and has now made this list three times this season. He has a solid kitchen sink approach with five solid pitches.

Juaron Watts-Brown (SP – TOR)

  • 2025 Season: 77 2/3 IP | 22.2 K-BB%, 16.7 SwStr%, 31.9 CSW% | 3.24 ERA, 1.20 WHIP
  • This Week: 9 (2 starts) IP | 11 Ks, 3 BBs | 1.00 ERA, 1.22 WHIP
  • Notes: Juaron Watts-Brown is a multi-sport athlete who is seeing a significant improvement in his command this season. He already had very nice stuff, including a couple of nasty breakers, and has been on the list twice now this year.

Lucas Braun (SP – ATL)

  • 2025 Season: 80 2/3 IP | 17.4 K-BB%, 11.1 SwStr%, 26.8 CSW% | 4.35 ERA, 1.17 WHIP
  • This Week: 6 IP | 9 Ks, 3 BBs | 1.50 ERA, 1.00 WHIP
  • Notes: This is Lucas Braun’s third week on the list as he has shown plus command. His xFIP is 3.00 vs. his mid-4.00 ERA, so he’s pitched better than the back of the baseball card numbers play out with his plus slider leading the way.

A+ Hitters

2. Max Clark (OF – DET)

  • 2024 A/A+: .279/.372/.421 | 12.4 BB%, 19.2 K% | 36 XBH, 9 HR, 29 SB
  • 2025 A+ (as of 7/6/25): .284/.429/.424 | 19.6 BB%, 16.9 K% | 20 XBH, 7 HR, 12 SB
  • This Week: 9/22 (5 BBs) | 2 XBH, 1 HR, 1 SB
  • Age: 20
  • ETA: Mid 2026
  • fScores: N/A
  • Comp: Corbin Carroll
  • Prime Skills: Max Clark is a multi-sport athlete with a really nice hit tool and a lot of speed. He should develop more power as he ages. He’s likely to develop more into a speed-first, 15-20 homer type based on the small sample size of what we have seen in the Minors and pre-draft. The plate skills are also much better than when you look at first glance, as he has a near elite 4.6% SwStr% and a fantastic 87.4% contact rate.

Emilien Pitre (2B – TB)

  • Season: .280/.349/.420 | 9 BB% / 22.8 K% | 24 XBH, 7 HR, 8 SB
  • This Week: 10/27 | 6 XBH, 2 HR, 0 SB
  • Notes: The second-rounder out of Kentucky last year is coming into some power now after showing an excellent hit tool last year. The stolen bases are a bit misleading, though, as Emilien Pitre has been caught stealing five times and seems to have a nice hit tool/doubles stroke.

Bo Davidson (OF – NYG)

  • Season: .313/.414/.521 | 14.3 BB% / 22.1 K% | 29 XBH, 10 HR, 11 SB
  • This Week: 9/24 (5 BBs) | 5 XBH, 3 HR, 0 SB
  • Notes: Bo Davidson was an undrafted free agent the Giants signed based on his tools out of community college, and is one of the more interesting under-the-radar prospects in the Minors right now. At 22 years old, I would love to see him putting up similar production in AA before I bump him up in the rankings.

Braylen Wimmer (SS, 3B – COL)

  • Season: .300/.372/.498 | 7.6 BB% / 22.5 K% | 35 XBH, 13 HR, 25 SB
  • This Week: 8/26 | 4 XBH, 3 HR, 0 SB
  • Notes: Braylen Wimmer has now managed to make my list two weeks in a row after another strong week for the big, athletic eighth-rounder out of South Carolina. He’s too old for the level (24), but he’s been incredibly impressive numbers-wise. But let’s see if he can do it at the higher levels of the Minors.

A+ Pitchers

Christian Oppor (SP – CWS)

  • 2025 Season: 51 IP | 20.7 K-BB%, 15.9 SwStr%, 33.3 CSW% | 3.53 ERA, 1.20 WHIP
  • This Week: 5 IP | 10 Ks, 0 BBs | 3.60 ERA, 0.80 WHIP
  • Notes: Christian Oppor has a quick, flick-type release point from the left side with 94-97 MPH velocity on the fastball with ride to combo with a plus slider. This is his second time on the list this season and his first time at High-A.

Ryan Johnson (SP – LAA)

  • 2025 Season: 54 1/3 IP | 24.4 K-BB%, 15.7 SwStr%, 31.1 CSW% | 1.99 ERA, 0.92 WHIP
  • This Week: 9 IP | 12 Ks, 0 BBs | 0.00 ERA, 0.11 WHIP (1 hit)
  • Notes: Ryan Johnson started the season with the big league squad in the bullpen after being a first-round comp pick by the Angels last season, but was sent to the Minors to stretch out and is way too good for High-A. He should be in AA or AAA. This is the Angels, so it is weird to see them not be more aggressive. This is his second time on this list in the last three weeks.

Khal Stephen (SP – TOR)

  • 2025 Season: 81 2/3 IP | 23.7 K-BB%, 14.7 SwStr%, 29.5 CSW% | 1.76 ERA, 0.91 WHIP
  • This Week: 11 1/2 IP (2 starts) | 14 Ks, 3 BBs | 0.79 ERA, 0.71 WHIP
  • Notes: Khal Stephen was a second-rounder last year and is way too good for Low-A. He has a pretty sweet fastball/change-up combo that has resulted in a 41% CSW% overall through his first two starts. He runs six pitches deep, including three different fastball offerings that make his actual four-seamer play up on the 93 MPH velocity. This is his third time on the list this season.

Fantasy Baseball Trade Chart

Single-A Hitters

73. Robert Calaz (OF – COL)

  • 2024 CPX/A: .344/.446/.633 | 13.9 BB%, 23.6 K% | 33 XBH, 12 HR, 15 SB (62 games)
  • 2025 A (as of 7/6/25): .276/.338/.478 | 8.3 BB%, 23.7 K% | 21 XBH, 9 HR, 2 SB
  • This Week: 10/23 | 5 XBH, 4 HR, 0 SB
  • Age: 19
  • ETA: 2028
  • fScores: N/A
  • Comp: Teoscar Hernandez
  • Prime Skills: Robert Calaz has big-time power potential and can combat swings and misses. There are a ton of tools here, but also some massive swing and miss issues that have not improved since last year. The slash line this season is more realistic as the BABIP has come back down to earth. Unfortunately, he seems to have stopped running. Calaz needs to improve the hit tool to reach his full power potential.
  • Player Notes: Calaz debuts on the list in 2025 after a rough start to the season. He hit almost half of his 2025 homers just this last week, so hopefully this gets him rolling.

90. Braylon Payne (OF – MIL)

  • 2024 A: .438/.526/.625 | 15.8 BB%, 15.8 K% | 2 XBH, 0 HR, 4 SB (4 games)
  • 2025 A (as of 7/6/25): .249/.356/.392 | 14.4 BB%, 28.4 K% | 13 XBH, 5 HR, 21 SB
  • This Week: 7/16 (4 BBs) | 2 XBH, 1 HR, 2 SB
  • Age: 18
  • ETA: 2028
  • fScores: N/A
  • Comp: Lawrence Butler
  • Prime Skills: Braylon Payne is a big-bodied outfielder who is tooled up with a killer power and speed combo from the left side. He’s one of the faster prospects picked in the 2024 draft. If he can develop the hit tools and classic Brewers plate skills, the tools can play this kid up with some of the better Brewers prospects. He started the season hot, but is slumping a bit right now and has some work to do on the hit tool (67.2% Contact%).
  • Player Notes: Payne has been slow since April, so hopefully this is the start of a resurgence to a great second half.

Eric Bitonti (SS, 3B – MIL)

  • Season: .250/.347/.451 | 13 BB% / 33.4 K% | 27 XBH, 13 HR, 14 SB
  • This Week: 9/27 | 4 XBH, 2 HR, 5 SB
  • Notes: Eric Bitonti has some big-time strikeout issues, but the rest of the profile has been solid for the high-end former third-rounder. This is his second consecutive week on this list and third since the beginning of June. Bitonti will almost assuredly break into the top 150 in the next update.

Yeremi Cabrera (OF – TEX)

  • Season: .244/.357/.326 | 12.9 BB% / 20.6 K% | 11 XBH, 4 HR, 26 SB
  • This Week: 8/24 | 2 XBH, 2 HR, 5 SB
  • Notes: Yeremi Cabrerea has quick hands and great load. He also has power, speed and good vision to boot. He’s had a rough transition from the Florida Complex League, where he killed it last year, but may finally be coming into his own here with a big week. The plate approach and speed have been there all season, but he’s been lacking in the power department, though his hit tool has been progressing from last year.

Edward Florentino (OF – PIT)

  • Season: .321/.412/.586 | 12.7 BB% / 21.1 K% | 21 XBH, 7 HR, 12 SB
  • This Week: 7/22 | 4 XBH, 1 HR, 5 SB
  • Notes: Edward Florentino has been one of the big breakout guys this year. Oddly, this is his first week on the list as he’s been fairly consistent at the Florida Complex League, but is showing a better hit tool in his small sample size at Single-A ball (only 13 games).

Lisbel Diaz (OF – SF)

  • Season: .266/.312/.396 | 5 BB% / 19.6 K% | 26 XBH, 6 HR, 14 SB
  • This Week: 13/28 | 5 XBH, 1 HR, 2 SB
  • Notes: Lisbel Diaz is a new name to the list this week as the 19-year-old Cuban has been a doubles machine with speed, but has failed to translate the doubles power to homer power. He has a solid pull-air rate and a nice build, but a below-average hit tool.

Single-A Pitchers

Ethan Flanagan (SP – CHC)

  • 2025 Season: 23 IP | 25.9 K-BB%, 13.6 SwStr%, 32.5 CSW% | 1.57 ERA, 0.87 WHIP
  • This Week: 6 IP | 9 Ks, 2 BBs | 0.00 ERA, 0.83 WHIP
  • Notes: Ethan Flanagan is old for the level, but is a nice find for the Cubs as a 17th-rounder last year who has been dominant this season. The 23-year-old should be moved to High-A in short order.

Rookie League Hitters

81. Emil Morales (SS, 3B – LAD)

  • 2024 DSL: .342/.478/.691 | 19.9 BB%, 22.4 K% | 25 XBH, 14 HR, 12 SB (46 games)
  • 2025 CPX (as of 5/28/25): .253/.313/.507 | 7.2 BB%, 27.7 K% | 8 XBH, 4 HR, 0 SB (18 games)
  • This Week: 11/19 (7 BBs) | 3 XBH, 1 HR, 2 SB
  • Age: 18
  • ETA: 2028
  • fScores: N/A
  • Comp: Fernando Tatis Jr.-lite
  • Prime Skills: Emil Morales is a big, athletic shortstop with high-end power potential and decent speed. He has the Fernando Tatis Jr. swing, which has led to a similar batted ball profile (though beware of the high swinging strike rate). However, the profile has not been the same this year in the Florida Complex League after a killer year in the Dominican Summer League (DSL).
  • Player Notes: Morales should have been at Single-A ball all year, in my opinion, and is too good for where he currently is. The Florida Complex League ends in less than three weeks, so many of the players at this level should move up to Single-A upon its conclusion.

Rookie League Pitchers

Reinold Navarro (SP – PIT)

  • 2025 Season: 24 1/3 IP | 29.2 K-BB%, 28.9 SwStr%, 45.1 CSW% | 1.48 ERA, 0.90 WHIP
  • This Week: 3 IP | 8 Ks, 0 BBs | 0.00 ERA, 0.00 WHIP
  • Notes: Reinold Navarro is of slight build, but the 18-year-old lefty has some head sitting 94-96 MPH on the fastball and topping out at 98. It will be interesting to get some good video and pitch-level data from him. He’s dominating the Florida Complex League, and I don’t normally like pitchers at that level.

DSL Hitters

Jose Castro (OF – MIA)

  • Season: .272/.393/.598 | 12.5 BB% / 24.1 K% | 16 XBH, 7 HR, 2 SB
  • This Week: 8/16 | 6 XBH, 3 HR, 1 SB
  • Notes: Jose Castro is showing some nice power in the DSL, but don’t bet on the speed. He’s been caught stealing four times.
