Monday’s Starting Pitcher Rankings
Yoshinobu Yamamoto (LAD) at MIL
Yoshinobu Yamamoto is a road warrior. According to FanGraphs, in 89.2 innings on the road since last year, he has had a 1.81 ERA, 2.71 xFIP, 0.94 WHIP, 7.2 BB% and 29.1 K%.
Los Angeles’s ace has a plus matchup and quality betting info tonight. The Brewers are tied for 23rd in wRC+ (98) with a 21.0 K% versus righties and 25th in wRC+ (88) with a 22.4 K% at home in 2025. So, the Dodgers are -135, and the game’s total is 7.5 runs.
Cristopher Sanchez (PHI) at SF
Cristopher Sanchez is locked in. The lefty has had the following stats in his previous five starts spanning 35 innings.
- 1.80 ERA
- 2.42 xFIP
- 2.46 SIERA
- 0.80 WHIP
- Two wins
- Five quality starts
- 1.5 BB%
- 25.8 K%
- 13.5 SwStr%
- 33.0 CSW%
- 118 stuff+
- 107 location+
- 123 pitching+
Sanchez has a favorable matchup against an unimposing lineup tonight. The Giants are tied for 24th in wRC+ (77) with a 25.1 K% versus lefties and 19th in wRC+ (100) with a 20.1 K% at home this year. San Francisco was also tied for 20th in wRC+ (97) with a 22.3 K% in the previous 30 days. Thus, the Phillies are -135, and the game’s total is 7.5 runs.
Yusei Kikuchi (LAA) vs. TEX
Yusei Kikuchi is white-hot. In the previous 30 days, he has the third-lowest ERA (1.93), the lowest xFIP (2.27), the lowest SIERA (2.38), the highest strikeout rate (34.4 K%) among tonight’s probable starters and a 0.89 WHIP in five starts spanning 32.2 innings.
Kikuchi can keep it going in a tasty matchup tonight. The Rangers are 26th in wRC+ (75) with a 24.0 K% versus lefties and tied for 22nd in wRC+ (89) with a 21.8 K% on the road this season. The Angels are slight underdogs (+115) because Jacob deGrom is getting the ball for the Rangers, but the game’s total is a pitcher-friendly 7.5 runs.

Suggested Lineup Stacks
Among tonight’s probable starters, Zac Gallen has the second-highest ERA (5.45), the fourth-highest xERA (4.82), the seventh-highest xFIP (4.22) and the eighth-highest SIERA (4.26). Even his best ERA estimators aren’t good, and his ERA and xERA are putrid. The right-handed hurler has coughed up a .364 wOBA to 227 left-handed batters and a .312 wOBA to 221 right-handed batters this season, making hitters of any handedness for the Padres stackable against Gallen.
- Road (Great American Ball Park)
- Game Total/Moneyline: 9.0 Runs/MIA +115
Brady Singer‘s 4.36 ERA this season is unimpressive despite being better than all of his ERA estimators. The veteran righty’s 4.64 xERA, 4.52 xFIP and 4.49 SIERA paint an even more unfavorable picture of Singer’s pitching in 2025. He’s at his worst against lefties, allowing a .329 to 221 of them this year. Yet, Singer isn’t a nightmare for righties, either, allowing a .309 wOBA to 160 of them. The Marlins have a decent matchup against Singer and Cincinnati’s below-average bullpen, and Miami will get a lift from playing in MLB’s most homer-friendly ballpark tonight.
