4 High-Floor Wide Receivers to Target (2025 Fantasy Football)

4 High-Floor Wide Receivers to Target (2025 Fantasy Football)

We’re always chasing upside in fantasy football leagues because finding a major profit relative to average draft position (ADP) is how you win championships. With that said, it’s also important to consider high-floor players when you’re building out your roster. This helps you manage through boom-or-bust weeks. We have five of them below.

FantasyPros Mock Draft Simulator

Fantasy Football High-Floor Wide Receivers

Courtland Sutton (WR – DEN)

Courtland Sutton caught 8 of his 135 targets for 1,081 yards and eight touchdowns last season. This included a second-half surge, where he put up 804 yards and six touchdowns in his final 10 games. Once Bo Nix settled in during his rookie year, Sutton took off. The two have an established rapport that they can build on in this season.

If you went with a running back-heavy build or took a boom-or-bust wideout as your WR1, it makes sense to pay up for Sutton. This is a player with a solidified role as the clear-cut top target in Denver. There is a narrow range of outcomes here, so it’s unlikely that Sutton will be a big miss at cost.

With that said, I prefer to swing for the fences with my top 50 picks, which is why I’ve avoided Sutton. Let’s remember that he’s entering his age-30 season and hasn’t finished above WR23 in fantasy points per game (PPG) in any year of his career. If I’m looking for a wideout at this ADP, I prefer going with DeVonta Smith or Jaylen Waddle.

Keenan Allen (WR – LAC)

Keenan Allen showed signs of decline last year, but he was still able to put up 70 catches for 744 yards and seven touchdowns in 15 games.

Now back with the Chargers, look for Allen to have another season of 60+ receptions while catching passes from Justin Herbert, a quarterback with whom he’s already established an existing rapport.

The best time to have taken Allen was early in the offseason when he was still unsigned because he was going 50+ picks later than he is now, but if you need a high-floor option in a deeper league, he makes sense.

Jauan Jennings (WR – SF)

Jauan Jennings was one of the biggest surprises of the 2024 NFL season, putting up 77 catches for 975 yards and six touchdowns in 15 games. This included an incredible spike week of 11 receptions for 175 yards and three touchdowns against the Rams.

Throughout camp, Jennings has dealt with a calf injury, which has caused his price to drop, making him a strong value. The 49ers have a limited receiver room with Brandon Aiyuk coming back from a torn ACL and Ricky Pearsall still unproven. This allows Jennings to build on last year as one of the team’s top targets.

All signs point towards Jennings being available for Week 1, so make sure to buy the dip on this late bloomer. All the efficiency metrics looked great, so there’s a reasonable chance this is not a one-year wonder.

Christian Kirk (WR – HOU)

Christian Kirk had his season end prematurely due to a broken collarbone. The veteran wideout was in the middle of a down year, posting only 27 catches for 379 yards and one touchdown in eight games.

However, this is a player who is one year removed from 57 catches, 787 yards and three touchdowns in only 12 games. While the Texans used a second-round pick on Jayden Higgins and a fourth-rounder on Jaylin Noel, Kirk is entrenched as the No. 2 WR in this offense.

Expect to see more passing volume from Houston with Nick Caley as the new offensive coordinator. This is a play-caller who comes over from the Rams, so look for a more exciting offense. Kirk has become one of my favorite high-floor targets in drafts.
