Fantasy Football Injuries to Know for Week 2
Xavier Worthy (WR – KC)
Xavier Worthy (shoulder) logged limited practice on Thursday.
After initially being week-to-week with a shoulder injury, Xavier Worthy was able to get in a limited practice on Thursday, which was quite surprising to see. The fact that Worthy could practice means that there’s an outside chance he can return for Week 2.
Brock Bowers (TE – LV)
Brock Bowers (knee) did not practice on Thursday.
Brock Bowers missed practice on Thursday due to a knee issue. With Bowers missing practice so late in the week, it’s concerning for his availability this week. Hopefully, you were able to scoop Harold Fannin Jr. off the waiver wire to cover yourself for Bowers.
Jaylen Waddle (WR – MIA)
Jaylen Waddle (shoulder) was limited in practice on Thursday.
Jaylen Waddle is banged up with a shoulder issue, but he should be able to suit up against the Patriots. With that said, it’s hard to trust this Dolphins offense right now. Even still, I’d look to buy low on Waddle because it feels inevitable that Tyreek Hill will eventually be traded.
Darnell Mooney (WR – ATL)
Darnell Mooney (shoulder) was limited in practice on Thursday.
Darnell Mooney was able to get in a limited practice on Thursday, which bodes well for his chances of returning against the Vikings. However, we have to temper our expectations due to his lengthy absence, which could result in a more marginal role in his first game back.
Drake London (WR – ATL)
Drake London (shoulder) was limited in practice on Thursday.
Drake London is at less than 100% with a shoulder injury, but there are no concerns he’ll miss Week 2. You can fire up London as a WR1 without any hesitation, even in a tough matchup against Brian Flores’ defense. The volume should keep London afloat all year.
DJ Moore (WR – CHI)
DJ Moore (abdomen/groin) fully practiced on Thursday.
It was great to see DJ Moore get in a full practice on Thursday, so we can fire him up as an upside WR3 against the Lions. You had to like seeing Moore getting some usage in the backfield, as Ben Johnson is finding creative ways to deploy his veteran wideout.
Andrew Thomas (OT – NYG)
Andrew Thomas (foot) recorded a limited practice session on Thursday.
Here we have some fantasy-relevant news in an offensive lineman, as the Giants struggled mightily without Andrew Thomas last week. If they can get him back, perhaps their offense can look a bit better this time around.
Ikem Ekwonu (OT- CAR)
Ikem Ekwonu (illness) was limited in practice on Thursday.
It’s great to see that Ikem Ekwonu got in a practice on Thursday. The Panthers’ offense badly needs their best offensive lineman if they’re going to get back on track this week. If he can return, that’s great news for Tetairoa McMillan, since Bryce Young would have more time to operate.
