Fantasy Football Injuries to Know for Week 4

CeeDee Lamb (WR – DAL)

CeeDee Lamb (ankle) missed practice on Thursday.

We all know CeeDee Lamb is out for this week, but it’s worth bringing up his injury in this column because his return date is still unknown. That means there’s a wide range of outcomes we should acknowledge. While there’s a chance Lamb is out for a few weeks, there’s also the possibility he only misses a game or two.

Xavier Worthy (WR – KC)

Xavier Worthy (shoulder) practiced in full on Thursday.

Xavier Worthy got in a full practice on Thursday, which makes it likely he’s able to return in a tough matchup versus the Ravens. The Chiefs desperately need their deep threat back in the lineup, so Worthy could give them a massive boost in a potential shootout. It’s unlikely we’ll see too much of a limited role here, as the Chiefs badly need their playmaking wideout.

Isaiah Likely (TE – BAL)

Isaiah Likely (foot) gets in limited practice on Thursday.

There’s a good chance Isaiah Likely will return to the Ravens in time for their Week 4 matchup against the Chiefs. This comes right after Mark Andrews had a huge game on Monday Night Football against the Lions. I would anticipate Likely having a more limited role than usual, given the long layoff, but it will be interesting to see his usage.

Nico Collins (WR – HOU)

Nico Collins (knee) upgraded to full participant in Thursday’s practice.

It’s good to see that Nico Collins got in a full practice on Thursday after being a surprise addition to the injury report on Wednesday. While the Texans’ offense has struggled so far, Collins is coming off a big game against the Jaguars and is set for another exploitable matchup versus the Titans.

Justin Fields (QB – NYJ)

Justin Fields (concussion) gets in full practice on Thursday.

Justin Fields practiced in full on Thursday, so he’s highly likely to return to the lineup for the Jets. This is huge because it’s right on time for a smash spot against a porous Dolphins defense. If you have Fields, you can fire him up with confidence, given the high upside.

Jayden Daniels (QB – WSH)

Jayden Daniels (knee) was limited in practice on Thursday.

Jayden Daniels has been able to get in limited practices throughout this week, but the Commanders have been extra cautious with his knee injury. It wouldn’t be a surprise to see Marcus Mariota get another start. With that said, if Daniels suits up, you can fire him up with tempered expectations.

Jacory Croskey-Merritt (RB – WSH)

Jacory Croskey-Merritt (knee) missed Thursday’s practice.

Jacory Croskey-Merritt was unable to practice on Thursday, which makes it unlikely he’ll be able to suit up in Week 4 against the Falcons. If Croskey-Meritt can’t go, that would leave Chris Rodriguez Jr. in a committee with Jeremy McNichols. Both backs looked good last week, but Rodriguez is the more appealing option in this scenario.

Christian Gonzalez (CB – NE)

Christian Gonzalez (hamstring) looks ready to return.

Christian Gonzalez is ready to make his season debut after missing the first three games. This is a top cornerback, so there are fantasy implications here. Panthers wideout Tetairoa McMillan now has a tougher matchup than initially projected.
