Smash Spots
Blake Snell has hit a rough patch lately, allowing eight earned runs in 10.1 innings in his last two starts, but this is a get-right spot at home against the Rockies, who have one of the worst lineups in baseball.
Tyler Glasnow is dealing with back tightness. He is tentatively expected to start against the Rockies at home. If Glasnow can go for this one, he should be able to dominate this lineup.
A third consecutive starter with a high strikeout upside, set for a matchup against the Rockies. Dylan Cease has failed to go more than five innings in four consecutive starts. This looks like the spot to break that streak.
Risky Starts
Trevor Rogers has been one of the biggest surprises in baseball this season, featuring a ridiculous 1.39 ERA and 0.82 WHIP in 90.1 innings, but now he takes on the Blue Jays, who have a 121 wRC+ at home, which ranks third in the league.
Shane Bieber has been sharp since returning from injury, as highlighted by an impressive 21:2 strikeout-to-walk ratio in 17.1 innings. However, this is a tough matchup against the Astros, who rank in the top 10 in strikeout rate.
Andrew Abbott has hit a rough patch, giving up five earned runs or more in two of his last three starts. That makes him tough to trust on the road against the Padres.

Two-Start Pitchers
Cade Cavalli is a smash pickup in leagues where he’s been dropped. The talented righty bounced back against the Marlins in his last turn, allowing two earned runs in five innings. This week, he’ll get the Marlins again, plus the Pirates.
Luis Morales has been a major boost to the Athletics’ rotation, putting up a 1.58 ERA and 0.99 WHIP in 28.1 innings. Up next is a two-step, albeit not in the best matchups, versus the Red Sox and Reds. Still, we need to ride the wave here.
Yu Darvish has allowed seven earned runs combined in his last two starts, spanning eight innings. However, this week’s two-step features an exploitable matchup at home against the Rockies.
