Fantasy Football Injury Updates
Note: The list below includes new injuries. However, players like Chris Godwin, Isaiah Likely and Xavier Worthy, who aren’t officially on injured reserve (IR), the Non-Football Injury/Illness list (NFI) or the physically unable to perform (PUP) list, will remain on this report.
Quarterback
J.J. McCarthy (QB – MIN)
J.J. McCarthy suffered an ankle injury following the team’s Week 2 home loss against the Atlanta Falcons. In Week 3, Carson Wentz got the start and the Vikings dominated the Cincinnati Bengals, 48-10.
McCarthy has been ruled out for Week 4, and Wentz will once again get the start as they take on the Pittsburgh Steelers in Ireland.
Mac Jones (QB – SF)
Mac Jones didn’t leave the game, but after a hit, he was seen limping and later had a knee brace on. This is something to monitor.
Running Back
Zach Charbonnet (RB – SEA)
Zach Charbonnet was ruled out ahead of Week 3 with a midfoot sprain injury. His status for Week 4 is unclear. With him out, fellow running back Kenneth Walker had two rushing touchdowns in the Seahawks’ decimation of the New Orleans Saints.
Najee Harris (RB – LAC)
Najee Harris was injured during the Chargers’ matchup against AFC West foe Denver. It appears to be an Achilles injury. If so, his season will be over.
James Conner (RB – ARI)
James Conner injured his ankle/leg during the Cardinals’ road trip against the San Francisco 49ers. He was carted off the field in a serious and potentially season-ending injury.
Samaje Perine (RB – CIN)
Samaje Perine left Week 3’s loss to the Vikings with a thumb injury. The injury occurred in the first half. If he’s out, Tahj Brooks is the next man up in the Bengals’ backfield behind Chase Brown.
Tyrone Tracy Jr. (RB – NYG)
Tyrone Tracy Jr. left the Giants’ Week 3 Sunday Night Football affair against the Chiefs with a shoulder injury.
Wide Receiver
Chris Godwin (WR – TB)
Chris Godwin (ankle) hasn’t been placed on IR. ESPN’s Adam Schefter has reported there’s a “strong chance” Godwin will play in Week 4 against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Xavier Worthy (WR – KC)
Xavier Worthy suffered a right shoulder dislocation in Week 1. He wasn’t placed on IR, but hasn’t played since.
Mike Evans (WR – TB)
Mike Evans left the Buccaneers’ win over the New York Jets due to a hamstring injury. He was seen on the sideline, visibly upset by the injury.
CeeDee Lamb (WR – DAL)
CeeDee Lamb left the Cowboys’ Week 3 loss early against the Chicago Bears with an ankle injury. He appears to have escaped a serious injury, but his Week 4 status is unclear.
Terry McLaurin (WR – WSH)
Up 34-10, Terry McLaurin left the Commanders’ big-time win over the Las Vegas Raiders with a quad injury. It’s unclear if he’ll miss time or if he was simply ruled out due to the massive lead.
Alec Pierce (WR – IND)
After catching four passes for 67 yards, Alec Pierce left the Colts’ win over the Tennessee Titans with a concussion.
Dyami Brown (WR – JAX)
Dyami Brown left the Jaguars’ Week 3 win at home over the Houston Texans after injuring his shoulder.
Tight End
Isaiah Likely (TE – BAL)
Isaiah Likely is dealing with a foot injury that required surgery. Baltimore Ravens general manager Eric DeCosta believes he’ll be back in the early portion of the season.
Colston Loveland (TE – CHI)
Rookie tight end Colston Loveland left the Bears’ win over the Cowboys in Week 3 with a hip injury. He finished with just one catch for 31 yards.
Michael Mayer (TE – LV)
Michael Mayer left the Raiders’ Week 3 loss to the Commanders early with a concussion. The injury came after he made a tackle on a kick return.
