Fantasy Football Quarterback Streamers & Waiver Wire Targets (Week 4)

Week 3 of the 2025 NFL season is in the books. Hopefully, your team pulled out the victory. However, the only easy win was last week’s win. So, let’s look at the top streaming quarterback options for Week 4.

Fantasy Football Quarterback Streamers & Waiver Wire Targets

All the quarterbacks in this article are rostered in under 50% of ESPN leagues.

Geno Smith (LV) vs. Chicago Bears (9.9% Rostered)

Smith was outstanding in the Week 3 loss to the Washington Commanders. The veteran completed 65.5% of his 29 pass attempts for 289 yards and three touchdowns to Tre Tucker, scoring 26.1 fantasy points. While he struggled in the Week 2 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers, Smith has been a productive fantasy streaming option in the other two games this year. The veteran quarterback has averaged 325.5 passing yards, two touchdowns, and 21.8 fantasy points per game in those two matchups, scoring 17.5 or more in both outings.

While he lacks season-long upside, Smith is an excellent streaming option in Week 4. Last week, Dak Prescott had only one passing touchdown and 12 fantasy points against the Bears. Unfortunately, the Dallas Cowboys’ offense fell apart after CeeDee Lamb left the game with an ankle injury. However, Chicago couldn’t stop a nose bleed, let alone a capable passing attack, before the Week 3 contest. They surrendered 3.5 passing touchdowns and 28.1 fantasy points per game to quarterbacks over the first two weeks, allowing 22.2 or more in both matchups.

Sam Darnold (SEA) vs. Arizona Cardinals (7.8% Rostered)

Many thought Darnold would be a massive fantasy flop after leaving the Minnesota Vikings this offseason. While he hasn’t had the same fantasy success as last year, the veteran quarterback has been solid. Darnold struggled in Week 1, totaling 150 passing yards, zero touchdowns, and 5.4 fantasy points against the San Francisco 49ers. However, he has played well the past two weeks, completing 70.6% of his 51 pass attempts for 256.5 yards, two touchdowns, and 16.3 fantasy points per game. More importantly, the veteran has a fantasy-friendly matchup Thursday night.

Last week, the Cardinals failed to shut down Mac Jones. The backup quarterback completed 65.9% of his 41 pass attempts for 284 yards, a touchdown, and 13.3 fantasy points despite playing through a knee injury. Furthermore, the veteran quarterback was without George Kittle and Jauan Jennings. More importantly, Arizona has surrendered 275.3 passing yards, 1.3 touchdowns, and 15.4 fantasy points per game to quarterbacks this season despite facing Spencer Rattler, Bryce Young, and Jones. Expect Darnold to have little trouble moving the ball against the NFC West division rivals.

Carson Wentz (MIN) vs. Pittsburgh Steelers (3.1% Rostered)

Following Sunday’s win over the Cincinnati Bengals, Minnesota head coach Kevin O’Connell told the media that Wentz would start again in Week 4. While the veteran quarterback is far from an elite fantasy option, he played well in his first start this season. Wentz completed 70% of his 20 pass attempts for 173 yards, two touchdowns, and 15.3 fantasy points. He only had 20 pass attempts, as the Vikings led wire-to-wire against the Bengals. Yet, the veteran was efficient, averaging 0.75 fantasy points and 8.7 yards per pass attempt.

Fantasy players shouldn’t expect Wentz to be a long-term option, as J.J. McCarthy could return to the lineup in Week 5. However, he is an excellent QB2 option this week against the Steelers. Pittsburgh’s defense has been hit hard with injuries. Therefore, it explains why they have surrendered 260.3 passing yards, 1.7 touchdowns, and 21.5 fantasy points per game to quarterbacks this season, allowing 15.8 or more in every outing. Don’t be surprised if Wentz has a high-end QB2 finish in Week 4 against the Steelers in Dublin, Ireland.

Spencer Rattler (NO) vs. Buffalo Bills (1.8% Rostered)

The Saints might be the worst team in the NFL. They are 0-3 and were embarrassed in Week 3, losing 44-13 to the Seattle Seahawks. While New Orleans’ offense struggled early in the game, they got going in the second half. Rattler completed 71.8% of his 39 pass attempts for 218 yards, a touchdown, and 11.7 fantasy points. More importantly, his pass volume has made him a solid streaming option. Rattler is the QB17 over the first three weeks, averaging 39.7 pass attempts and 15.3 fantasy points per game.

Unfortunately, the Saints won’t get in the win column this week against the Bills. DraftKings has Buffalo as 15.5-point favorites, a touchdown higher than any other spread in Week 4. Therefore, don’t be surprised if Rattler has 45 or more pass attempts on Sunday. More importantly, the Bills haven’t shut down opposing quarterbacks. They have surrendered 1.7 passing touchdowns and 18.2 fantasy points per game to quarterbacks this season. Fantasy players needing to fill their superflex spot this week without spending significant FAAB should target Rattler off the waiver wire.
