Today’s MLB DFS & Player Props Picks
Tuesday’s Starting Pitcher Rankings
Emmet Sheehan has spent time starting and relieving this year, and he’s done relatively well as a starter. According to FanGraphs, Sheehan has had the following stats in nine starts spanning 44.2 innings in 2025.
- 4.03 ERA
- 3.37 xFIP
- 3.39 SIERA
- 1.16 WHIP
- Four wins
- One quality start
- 6.5 BB%
- 28.3 K%
- 15.0 SwStr%
- 28.7 CSW%
- 104 stuff+
- 104 location+
- 109 pitching+
Sheehan has the ideal matchup tonight and pristine betting info.
The Rockies are 30th in wRC+ (79) with a 25.8 K% versus righties and 30th in wRC+ (67) with a 27.4 K% on the road in 2025, making Colorado the literal worst offense against righties and on the road. They were also 28th in wRC+ (85) with a 22.4 K% in the previous 30 days. Thus, the Dodgers are listed as massive -335 favorites, and the game’s total is 9.0 runs.
Rookie Cade Horton has settled into a groove lately. In his previous five starts spanning 24.1 innings, he’s had the following statistics.
- 1.48 ERA
- 3.65 xFIP
- 3.40 SIERA
- 0.86 WHIP
- Three wins
- One quality start
- 7.4 BB%
- 29.5 K%
- 11.0 SwStr%
- 30.1 CSW%
- 95 stuff+
- 104 location+
- 98 pitching+
Horton has a mid-pack matchup and acceptable betting info tonight.
The Braves are tied for 17th in wRC+ (99) with a 22.6 K% versus righties and tied for 18th in wRC+ (99) with a 22.9 K% at home this year. Atlanta was also 15th in wRC+ (105) with a 21.9 K% in the previous 30 days. So, the Cubs are slight favorites (-110), and the game’s total is 8.5 runs.
Jack Leiter has a brutal matchup. The Brewers are ninth in wRC+ (108) with a 20.5 K% versus righties and third in wRC+ (113) with a 19.9 K% on the road this season. Milwaukee hasn’t slowed down, either. They were third in wRC+ (124) with a 19.4 K% in the previous 30 days. Leiter’s matchup should dissuade gamers from using him, making him a compelling GPP pick at a low roster rate.
He’s earned consideration in GPPs with his stellar pitching lately. In Leiter’s previous five starts spanning 27.2 innings, he’s had the following stats.
- 2.60 ERA
- 3.50 xFIP
- 3.48 SIERA
- 1.08 WHIP
- Two wins
- Three quality starts
- 8.9 BB%
- 29.5 K%
- 11.7 SwStr%
- 28.2 CSW%
- 104 stuff+
- 96 location+
- 101 pitching+
Chasing a pitcher’s ceiling in GPPs is the name of the game, and Leiter’s is intriguing despite a challenging matchup.

Suggested Lineup Stacks
According to Baseball Savant’s 2025 data for park factors, Sutter Health Park has the second-highest park factor for runs (117) and the ninth-highest for homers (111). It’s a legitimate launching pad. Even MLB’s best hurlers would struggle to navigate Sutter Health Park, and a debuting pitcher doesn’t qualify as one of MLB’s best. Lefty Connelly Early will get the nod in place of Dustin May tonight, and he’ll probably take his lumps in a challenging first task.
Matthew Liberatore has limped to a 4.94 ERA, albeit with a 4.07 xFIP and 4.14 SIERA, in his previous five starts. He’s also struggled on the road, with a 4.43 ERA and 4.61 xFIP in 120 innings on the road since last year. The lefty isn’t an imposing matchup for either handedness of hitter, allowing a .316 wOBA to 126 left-handed batters and a .317 wOBA to 459 right-handed batters this season. Seattle’s lineup is stacked from top to bottom with hitters who hammer lefties. All nine projected starters have had at least a 110 wRC+ against lefties since 2023.
Core Studs
- Brent Rooker has launched 25 long-balls with a .373 OBP, .257 ISO, .387 wOBA and 154 wRC+ in 450 plate appearances against southpaws since 2023.
- Julio Rodriguez has hit 22 homers with a .325 OBP, .200 ISO, .342 wOBA and 127 wRC+ in 498 plate appearances against southpaws since 2023.
- Eugenio Suarez has mashed 25 taters with a .320 OBP, .207 ISO, .326 wOBA and 110 wRC+ in 509 plate appearances against lefties since 2023.
Value Plays/Punts
- Jacob Wilson is in superb form, hitting two homers with nine runs, 11 RBIs, a .371 OBP, .153 ISO, .374 wOBA, .340 xwOBA and 138 wRC+ in his previous 63 plate appearances.
- Mitch Garver has mashed 13 homers with a .370 OBP, .177 ISO, .352 wOBA and 133 wRC+ in 378 plate appearances against southpaws since 2023.
- In Zack Gelof‘s previous 44 plate appearances, he’s hit two homers with eight runs, six RBIs, a .295 OBP, .330 wOBA and 108 wRC+. Gelof is punt-priced exposure to the excellent hitting environment at Sutter Health Park.
