Fantasy Football Injury Report & Updates (2025)

Week 7 still has two games left as part of this week’s Monday Night Football doubleheader, as the Seattle Seahawks host the Houston Texans and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers take on the Detroit Lions, but we still have plenty of injuries to highlight.

Check them out below to help you prepare for Week 8.

Fantasy Football Injury Updates

Quarterback

Bryce Young (QB – CAR)

Bryce Young suffered an ankle injury in the fourth quarter of the team’s road win over the winless New York Jets. Andy Dalton replaced him. Should Young miss any time, I don’t suspect this change at quarterback will impact the offense much, if at all.

If you’re a Tetairoa McMillan manager, things will be OK.

Jayden Daniels (QB – WSH)

Jayden Daniels suffered a hamstring injury in the Commanders’ blowout loss to the Dallas Cowboys. Unfortunately, we’ve seen Daniels suffer injuries already this year, so managers with Commanders players are pretty familiar with having Marcus Mariota on the field.

Mariota had three touchdown passes, one touchdown run and one interception across two starts earlier this year. Next up are the Kansas City Chiefs on the road, an environment that would be tough for either signal-caller.

Justin Fields (QB – NYJ)

Justin Fields was injured during the Jets’ loss to the Panthers, but returned and was later benched. While he appears to be OK, it’ll be interesting to see if the Jets decide to rest Fields and “cloak” the benching with the injury.

Regardless, if you’re a Fields manager, be prepared to look elsewhere just in case.

Running Back

Kendre Miller (RB – NO)

Kendre Miller got just one carry before suffering a knee injury. Head coach Kellen Moore said, “there’s concern” regarding Miller.

Without Miller, Alvin Kamara will continue getting carries, of course, but they could also look to sixth-round rookie Devin Neal for additional assistance.

Kene Nwangwu (RB – NYJ)

Kene Nwangwu suffered a concussion in the Jets’ loss to the Panthers. He has yet to record a carry this year and was a total non-factor for anything fantasy-related.

Wide Receiver

Dontayvion Wicks (WR – GB)

Dontayvion Wicks suffered an injury last week and has suffered another one this week. This time, it’s his calf. He left the game early against the Cardinals.

It was an ankle injury last week, and now a calf injury. Expect Wicks to miss some time. He has just 12 catches for 129 yards this season.

Tight End

Cole Kmet (TE – CHI)

Cole Kmet suffered a back injury in the Bears’ win over the Saints. Over his last five games (heading into Week 7), he caught one pass in three games and five in the other two. He’s seldom used as is in the offense.

In Week 7, Kmet had just one catch before departing.

Darren Waller (TE – MIA)

Darren Waller suffered a pectoral injury in the Dolphins’ 25-point loss to the Browns. Waller didn’t catch a pass before departing.

Waller played just three games heading into Week 7, catching at least one touchdown in each game. Fantasy managers may need to look elsewhere next week. This Dolphins team is in complete disarray.
