Fantasy Football Trade Advice: Rhamondre Stevenson, Jordan Addison, Matthew Golden

The fantasy football season moves fast. One week you’re riding high on a breakout performance, the next you’re wondering if you should trade that same player for a bag of footballs. That’s where we come in. As we hit Week 8, our Featured Pros have combed through the chaos to highlight players you should buy low before they explode — and those you should sell high while their value is peaking. It’s the perfect time to outsmart your league mates and turn midseason panic into playoff positioning.

Players to Buy Low & Sell High in Week 8

Buy Low

Matthew Golden (WR – GB)

“My favorite buy-low trade candidate is Matthew Golden. While he hasn’t been the best option for fantasy, his usage has steadily increased in Green Bay’s offense. He’s the X-factor for the Packers, and Matt LaFleur knows getting him the ball is the key to unlocking this offense. For someone who has finished as a WR3 or better in three of the last four weeks, you can probably pick him up for any bench piece and possibly even off waivers. He may not get you WR2 numbers this year, but for his price, it’s worth taking a flier on him.”

Sell High

Rhamondre Stevenson (RB – NE)

Rhamondre Stevenson had an outstanding Week 7 performance, finishing as a top-15 running back, totaling 18 rushing attempts for 88 yards, a touchdown and 16.8 PPR fantasy points, setting season-highs in yards and attempts. However, he faced a Tennessee Titans defense that had surrendered 114 rushing yards and 28 fantasy points per game to running backs over the first six weeks, the fourth-most in the NFL. More importantly, Stevenson has been wildly inconsistent, scoring 14.6+ fantasy points in three games. By comparison, he has averaged only 4.1 fantasy points per game in the other four contests, scoring 5.1 points or fewer in every outing. Unfortunately, the veteran faces an elite Cleveland Browns defense in Week 8, making him a risky Flex play, even with six teams on a bye. I would happily trade away Stevenson to land Breece Hall or even Jacory Croskey-Merritt.”
Mike Fanelli (FantasyPros)

“It’s time for some tough love: Rhamondre Stevenson is a great trade asset, but he’s not a keeper. Yes, his role is secure, and he’ll give you a reliable floor as an RB2/Flex thanks to his high snap share, but you deserve better. The issue is his brutal 3.6 yards per carry, which is proof that his upside is capped by inefficiency. His big Week 7 stat line is a classic “sell-high” spike after a season high in carries and rushing yards. Cash in now and acquire a running back with a much superior ceiling for your championship run.”

Jordan Addison (WR – MIN)

Jordan Addison has been on fire since returning from suspension. In his first three games back, he has played extremely well against Philadelphia, Pittsburgh and Cleveland. He has racked up 18 receptions, 283 yards and a touchdown. All with Carson Wentz slinging it, and Aaron Jones out of the lineup. J.J. McCarthy and Jones could return as soon as this week. I really hope McCarthy is the guy, but the first couple of games definitely give me pause for concern. Use Addison in a package to trade up for a difference-maker at the onesie positions. Target Lamar Jackson, Brock Bowers or George Kittle.”
