Fantasy Football Boom Starts & Bust Sits (Week 11)

We have learned a lot in the first 10 weeks of the season, so we can use that to inform our lineup decisions. The best way to do so is to focus on the matchup, consider the game script and compare your thoughts with FantasyPros’ expert consensus rankings (ECR).

You’ll find three fantasy football booms to start and three busts to bench for Week 11. By this point in the season, we have a good sense of player projections. With that in mind, let’s make those lineup decisions easier for you in Week 11.

Fantasy Football Boom Starts

Keon Coleman (WR – BUF) vs. TB

Keon Coleman has had a disappointing sophomore season, putting up 32 catches for 330 yards and three touchdowns. However, there are a couple of positive developments for Coleman’s outlook in Week 11. For one, Coleman is coming off a decent game against the Dolphins, where he caught three out of eight targets for 46 yards and a touchdown.

On top of that, the Bills are banged up on offense, with Khalil Shakir and Dalton Kincaid at risk of missing this week’s game against the Buccaneers. It’s a projected shootout, so we could see Coleman emerge as Josh Allen‘s top target in this high-scoring affair.

Woody Marks (RB – HOU) @ TEN

Woody Marks dominated touches in the Texans’ backfield in Week 10, rushing 14 times for 63 yards and a touchdown, while adding two catches for 18 yards. Head coach DeMeco Ryans spoke publicly about how the team needs to get Marks more involved.

Up next is an exploitable matchup against the Titans. When these teams met earlier this year, Marks put up 119 total yards and two touchdowns. You can fire up the rookie running back with confidence in this one.

Michael Wilson (WR – ARI) vs. SF

Michael Wilson is thrust into a larger role with Marvin Harrison Jr. out. He is a boom-or-bust deep threat who could get loose downfield against a 49ers defense that looked vulnerable against the Rams in Week 10.

With Jacoby Brissett airing it out at a higher rate than Kyler Murray, we have to bump up this entire passing game. Wilson could put up a season-high in targets in this favorable spot.

Fantasy Football Bust Sits

Courtland Sutton (WR – DEN) vs. KC

Courtland Sutton has been disappointing lately, combining for only four catches for 54 yards in his last two games. The veteran wideout continues to be out-targeted by Troy Franklin. Plus, the Broncos’ offense looks dysfunctional right now.

That’s bad news against a stout Chiefs defense. This has the chance to be a low-scoring game between two division rivals. Sutton is slumping right now, so we should bench him until he shows signs of life.

Kenneth Walker (RB – SEA) @ LAR

At this point, Kenneth Walker is merely a more talented version of Isiah Pacheco. That is, a running back who gets work between the 20s, but is taken off the field in the red zone. Zach Charbonnet is Kareem Hunt in this analogy, consistently vulturing touchdowns.

Charbonnet is a capable back in his own right, so it’s tough to trust Walker moving forward. You basically need him to break a long run to hit his ceiling.

Rashid Shaheed (WR – SEA) @ LAR

I love the landing spot for Rashid Shaheed in Seattle, but he saw limited action in his season debut, despite familiarity with Klint Kubiak’s offense, having played for him last year.

While that could be due to a blowout game script, there’s also a legit chance the Seahawks simply spread it out. Remember, this team likes to use 2-WR sets often. Shaheed could lose out on looks to Cooper Kupp and Tory Horton.
