Fantasy Football Injury Updates

Quarterback

Aaron Rodgers (QB – PIT)

Aaron Rodgers left the Steelers’ win over the Cincinnati Bengals with a non-throwing wrist injury. The belief is that it’s nothing long-term, but at his age, you have to wonder if Rodgers may miss some time just to be extra cautious. The Steelers play the 7-3 Chicago Bears in Week 12. If Rodgers can’t go, it’ll be Mason Rudolph.

Michael Penix Jr. (QB – ATL)

Michael Penix Jr. suffered a knee injury in the Falcons’ loss to the Carolina Panthers. This is the same knee he hurt earlier this year. While he’ll undergo some tests, it is believed he’ll miss some time, meaning Kirk Cousins will be under center in his absence.

Dillon Gabriel (QB – CLE)

Dillon Gabriel suffered a concussion in the Browns’ loss to the Baltimore Ravens. Shedeur Sanders relieved him and looked incredibly overmatched. Head coach Kevin Stefanski has confirmed that Gabriel will start in Week 12 against the Raiders if he passes the concussion protocol.

Running Back

Bhayshul Tuten (RB – JAX)

Bhayshul Tuten suffered an ankle injury in the Jaguars’ win over the Los Angeles Chargers. It may be a high-ankle sprain, which would keep him out for a bit of time. He had 74 rushing yards and a touchdown before he departed. If he cannot play, LeQuint Allen Jr. will back up Travis Etienne against the Arizona Cardinals.

Jaylen Warren (RB – PIT)

In addition to Aaron Rodgers, the Steelers saw Jaylen Warren go down with an ankle injury. He had 62 yards on just 10 carries before he left. If he can’t go, it’ll be Kenneth Gainwell as the go-to back against the Bears.

Josh Jacobs (RB – GB)

Josh Jacobs suffered a knee injury in the Packers’ win over the New York Giants. He’s believed to have avoided a serious injury, but the timeline for his return his unknown. Emanuel Wilson took over in his absence, and MarShawn Lloyd is on his way to making his season debut.

Emari Demercado (RB – ARI)

Emari Demercado injured his ankle in the Cardinals’ blowout loss to the San Francisco 49ers. With his absence, expect Michael Carter and Bam Knight to step up in what has been a bit of a carousel at the running back position for Arizona.

Kimani Vidal (RB – LAC)

Kimani Vidal left the Chargers’ loss to the Jaguars with a thigh injury but returned. However, he didn’t see the field much, perhaps due to the lopsided nature of the game. Rookie running back Omarion Hampton should be back in the lineup soon, though, which could greatly diminish his value.

Wide Receiver

Calvin Ridley (WR – TEN)

Calvin Ridley suffered a broken fibula in the Titans’ loss to the Houston Texans. It’s just going from bad to worse for the Titans, who also lost Chimere Dike to injury. The Titans’ passing attack will now primarily run through Elic Ayomanor, but then again, their passing attack isn’t exactly one you’d want a piece of.

Chimere Dike (WR – TEN)

Chimere Dike suffered a concussion. If he’s out, along with Calvin Ridley, the Titans ‘ passing attack will consist of Elic Ayomanor, Mason Kinsey, Van Jefferson and Chig Okonkwo. Ouch.

Mecole Hardman (WR – BUF)

The recently signed Mecole Hardman injured his calf in the Bills’ win over the Buccaneers. He had a 61-yard kickoff return, but also fumbled. He’s a non-factor for fantasy purposes.

Drake London (WR – ATL)

Perhaps the most notable injury of the week was when Drake London suffered a knee injury in the loss to the Panthers. He’ll undergo an MRI, but his injury isn’t believed to be serious. If he’s in the lineup, though, he’ll have Kirk Cousins throwing him passes.
