Fantasy Football Stock Report: Week 15
Fantasy Football Risers
Shedeur Sanders (QB – CLE)
The Browns were upset 31-29 by the Titans at home, but not due to any fault of the offense, which looked its best all season. Fifth-round rookie (No. 144 overall) Shedeur Sanders put on a show in his third career start, throwing for 364 yards on 42 dropbacks (8.7 yards per attempt), scoring three times through the air and once on the ground.
Sanders’ 34.5 fantasy points led all quarterbacks in Week 14. He became the first rookie in NFL history to pass for 350+ yards with four total touchdowns in a single game through his first three starts. According to head coach Kevin Stefanski, Sanders will remain the starter to close out the season, with a chance to prove himself as the long-term answer in Cleveland.
Harold Fannin Jr. (TE – CLE)
Harold Fannin Jr. has been a favorite of fellow rookie Shedeur Sanders, leading the team with a 25% target share from Week 12 on, averaging five receptions on 7.3 targets for 65.7 yards. Fannin played a large role in Sanders’ historic day this past weekend, finding the end zone for a second consecutive game and setting career-high marks across the board, catching eight balls on 11 targets (26.2% target share) for 114 yards.
Fannin scored 25.4 PPR points en route to finishing as the TE1 overall. With Sanders set to start the rest of the season, Fannin was already locked in as the No. 1 target, but should see even more usage with David Njoku already ruled out with a knee injury.
Blake Corum (RB – LAR)
Blake Corum had already been working his way into a split alongside Kyren Williams, almost certainly earning himself even more playing time after a dominant weekend. Although Corum was outsnapped 35 to 17 by Williams, he was the far more efficient and productive back, handling 13 touches for 131 yards from scrimmage and a pair of scores.
Corum finished as the RB3 on the week with 26.1 PPR points. There aren’t many backs who have been as efficient as Corrum this season. He leads the NFL in expected points added (EPA) per rush (0.13) among all players with at least 100 carries.
Fantasy Football Fallers
Daniel Jones (QB – IND)
Daniel Jones was one of the better stories of the season, turning his career around in Indianapolis and playing like a franchise quarterback. Unfortunately, that all came to an end in Week 14 with Danny Dimes exiting mid-game with a torn Achilles, ruling him out for the rest of the year.
After a 7-1 start to the season, the Colts have lost three of their last four games and currently sit in third place in the AFC South, just outside of the playoff picture. With only four games remaining in the regular season, the biggest question for Indianapolis will be finding an answer under center, recently signing 44-year-old Philip Rivers earlier this week.
Tee Higgins (WR – CIN)
After a one-game absence, Tee Higgins picked up right where he left off with Joe Burrow, catching six balls on a season-high 11 targets for 92 yards and two touchdowns, leading the Bengals with a 30.6% target share and 42.7% air yard share.
Although Higgins made it through the game, coming in and out of the medical tent, he was diagnosed with another concussion shortly after and has been ruled out for Week 15. At 4-9 with a slim chance at making the postseason, it would not at all be shocking for the Bengals to shut down Higgins for the rest of the year after suffering multiple head injuries.
Romeo Doubs (WR – GB)
Since Christian Watson returned to the lineup, Romeo Doubs has seen his usage plummet, topping 23 yards only once in his last five games, averaging 2.2 receptions on 4.2 targets for 20.2 yards during that stretch, seeing a 15.1% target share from Week 10 on.
With Watson and Jayden Reed both active for the first time this weekend, Doubs was completely shut out, failing to haul in either of his two targets and finishing with an 8% target share, despite running the second-most routes on the team (19). Reed should continue to ramp up in playing time, making it even harder to trust Doubs in an already run-heavy offense.
