It’s time for the fantasy playoffs, so we need to make informed lineup decisions in this do-or-die spot. The best way to do so is to focus on the matchup, consider the game script and compare your thoughts with FantasyPros’ expert consensus rankings (ECR).
You’ll find three fantasy football booms to start and three busts to bench for Week 15. By this point in the season, we have a good sense of player projections. With that in mind, let’s make those lineup decisions easier for you in Week 15.

Fantasy Football Week 15 Start/Sit Advice
Fantasy Football Boom Starts
Brock Purdy (QB – SF) vs. TEN
Brock Purdy is in a smash spot coming off the Week 14 bye versus a Titans defense allowing 277 passing yards per game in the last four weeks. During this stretch, the Titans rank 29th in fantasy points per game allowed to quarterbacks.
The 49ers have the second-highest implied team total on the slate, so there’s a good chance that they pour on points in this one. Don’t be surprised if the Niners score 30+ points in a blowout victory.
Chris Rodriguez Jr. (RB – WSH) at NYG
Chris Rodriguez Jr. has become the lead back in a committee that also includes Jacory Croskey-Merritt and Jeremy McNichols. However, Rodriguez is easily the best bet to find the end zone, as highlighted by his three touchdowns in his last five games.
Up next is a terrific matchup against the Giants, who are allowing the most fantasy points per game to running backs this season. With that in mind, there’s a good chance we see 70+ yards and a score from Rodriguez here.
Jauan Jennings (WR – SF) vs. TEN
Jauan Jennings has quietly been rock-solid for the Niners lately. Since Week 9, the veteran wideout ranks as the WR21 in fantasy points per game. With Ricky Pearsall making a minimal impact, Jennings looks like the best pairing with Purdy.
The Titans rank 25th in fantasy points per game allowed to wide receivers this season, so Jennings is in a terrific spot for a spike week here. You can safely fire him up in this one.
Fantasy Football Bust Sits
Jacoby Brissett (QB – ARI) at HOU
Jacoby Brissett is the QB5 in fantasy points per game since taking over for Kyler Murray as the Cardinals’ starting quarterback. It’s been an extremely pass-heavy offense in Arizona.
However, this is a spot to bench Brissett. It’s a terrible matchup against the Texans, who are allowing the fewest fantasy points per game to quarterbacks. We just saw them shut down Patrick Mahomes.
Tony Pollard (RB – TEN) at SF
Tony Pollard came out of nowhere to explode for a massive game against the Browns last week. It was one of the most surprising outcomes of the year, especially when you consider that the Browns are stout in run defense.
But that was a close game that the Titans ended up winning. I’m betting that they’ll be blown out against the 49ers, so it’s a terrible game script for Pollard. Considering those circumstances, I’d suggest leaving him on your bench.
Michael Wilson (WR – ARI) at HOU
Michael Wilson has been the waiver wire pickup of the year, putting up elite WR1 numbers in the absence of Marvin Harrison Jr. However, this is a terrible spot for him against the Texans.
I already mentioned how Houston completely shuts down opposing passing games. On top of that, the Cardinals will be playing without left tackle Paris Johnson Jr. That could be a disaster against Will Anderson and this Texans pass rush.
